OK... here's what (I think) you do. I haven't tried this yet, but, well, here goes.
Get two old records that you despise enough to kinda destroy (In a good way). Put the record hanging half over a rack in your oven. You may have to have it hanging only like 1/3 over so it doesn't fall. I don't know if you'll be able to close your oven then, but if you can, continue. Sometime after figuring out if the record fits, turn on your oven to whatever temp. you fancy, cuz I don't know as I'm just now making this up. (give me points for being honest, right???) Keep a REALLY good eye on the record. I don't know what will happen if it's left in heat too long. Ok, at some point , the overhanging part should now be hanging down straight over the edge.
Let this cool IN THE OVEN (may loose shape if set down flat once out of the oven) and repeat with the other record. Once they're all cooled, slide the one end under some books, and you're (books are) stylin!

Looks great, but would it be uber tacky if you bleached just the pawprint and left it showing? I think that'd be cute, but maybe I'm just insane (well, actually, I'm sure of it, but anyway.)

Ok... in addition to the votives....
Put little squares of different colored tissue paper all over the outside and then mod podge over it. Then when u pit in the votives, it'll look all cool.
Just a though...

No, you leave the bottom open, pull tissues up through larger hole, and slide through the bottom like with decorative tissue box covers.

I made a tissue box out of 5 Cds.... Just be sure to cut one so the hole is bigger and then the tissues can come up through it.... Hot gle them together in a cube w/ one end open. REally cool!
(oh, yeah, forgot to say it's kinda tricky cutting the middle out of the CD, just keep trying and turn the scissors as you cut.)

Anybody have any ideas for what to do with those little silver cap things that come on frozen minut-made concentrates? I have alot and cannot figure out what to do with them. If you have no clue what I'm talking about (I'm sure there's a club) they look like little silver platters for barbie dolls. Any ideas?
