hi all! been a long time since i've posted a project...
this was a HUGE, long-sleeved shirt my dad brought me back from Japan. apparently they put random english words on shirts, not unlike how we get random japanese symbols tattooed on us without knowing their meaning... so i thought that was pretty cool so i reconned this shirt into a cute strapless shirt dress to wear over jeans! yay!

ok, so, for halloween, i wanted to put Jon Stewart on my pumpkin. it doesn't really look like him, but it looks like, well, someone, so i'l proud of it.

hi all,
i love what you guys have come up with so far! although i'm not done with my project for this swap yet, i thought you all would like to see the cheese costume i made for my little brother...
(he's also wearing yellow sweatpants and a yellow tee shirt... this is just the head.)

my swap partner received, so i thought i'd start the gallery.
well, the monster i made has moveable eyebrows. there are several pics of ideas on how to position them.

i, funkyolive, being of scottish heritage and crafty mindset, have attempted to make a plaid duct tape bag.

this is only the front panel, but... does it look like plaid? i was trying to follow the basic tartan thing, but i think it looks more Mod then, erm, plaid-ish.
any tips?

okay- so i have no idea where to get more mini army men- these are about the size of the fishhook earrings- but i love them to death.

(sorry for the extreme craposity of the photo... camera phone.)
one's an army man, one's a heart button (you could use any kind of heart charm, bead, etc.) and they are my new favorite earrings. and they took, like, 12 seconds to make.

i'm so glad everyone likes my stuff! it was my first time making armwarmers, i just made a cone-type shape of fabric and stitched it up one side, the fabric is what really makes it.
the pin was a 2-piece thing i got at a craft store, just glue the cameo the the pin back.

edited to add: YAY! I got my package, and i have to say i think it is my favorite bunch of things from any swap ever! i got so much awesome stuff, here are pics-



there are a bunch of bracelets including a pop-tab one, an amazing purple duct tape bag with japanese popsicles on it, a necklace and matching earrings, and some hello kitty stickers! i'm running around being crazy because this is like my dream package, lol
