1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Collage Clutch on: April 03, 2009 11:58:00 AM
I made a clutch purse out of collaged magazine pictures, a page protector, and some Velcro.

I used a tutorial from cutoutandkeep.com

I had a lot of fun making it, and I'll probably make another one.

What do you think?
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Yoga Pants from T-shirt on: April 03, 2009 11:49:45 AM
I made some yoga pants from a big t-shirt I got for volunteering at school.

I used this tutorial:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=299282.msg3413328#msg3413328

I made the waistband out of the sleeves, and made it just one layer (no drawstring) - I also made it wider in the back to account for the fact that the back of me isn't shaped like the front Wink

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Barbie Shoe and Pompom Earrings on: January 29, 2005 05:56:17 PM
ETITED TO ADD:  I've got them up for sale now, here.

I've been making earrings for a while now, and if I'm going to continue, I need to start making some money from them. So, my question for everyone here is...How much would you pay for a pair of handmade earrings? They're not very high-class, more on the funky end of things. I was at first thinking $4 CAD, maybe $5 CAD, but others have said that I should aim higher, more like $15 CAD.

Here are a couple of pics. So far I've got two styles, pompoms and shoes, but I'm working on Starbursts and a couple others.

So what do you think?[/tt]
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Cheap Gift Wrap on: November 18, 2004 01:13:55 PM
It's a long story, but anyhow, I was ironing some cloth that I was going to make a shirt out of, and in my laundry room we've got cupboards and that's where the iron is.  So anyways, when I was putting the iron away, I saw the roll of paper towel and me, being the silly person that I am, decided to iron wet paper towel. ( It's fun, believe me.)  After I was done, the paper towel was dry and it had seperated into it's two sheets.  The embossed pattern was also gone.  I got to thinking, and anyways, I ended up wrapping a friend's birthday present in it...She thought it was tissue paper...*shakes head*...I haven't told her the truth yet... I know it sounds stupid and like it would look like a mess, but it was actually okay.  If anyone wants further clarification, I can probably explain better...anyways...
Hugs,
Parth
