Ok guys, I have googled this but to no avail. I am making a sweater (my first!) out of 100% acrylic yarn. Do y'all know if there is any way to block acrylic? After I bought the yarn and started the sweater it hit me there may be know way to block this thing. Another little problem... the sweater is almost entirely 2x2 ribbing. Help! I'm really hoping this thing will come out perfect and won't need blocking but I don't see that happening.

This is my first posted FO on here and I am so happy with it! I know y'all have never seen anything like this before!  Tongue

It's blocking here, I'm giving it to my mom tomorrow for her birthday. It's really not as lopsided as it looks. Please excuse my messy dorm room (best thing about not having a roommate? Having the extra bed as a place to block!)

First off, hey craftsers! I love this community so much so I finally joined!

I have a few questions about the ever popular Clapotis.

First, on average how long does this thing take to complete? I know we all knit at different speeds but just a rough estimate would rock. I want to make this for my mom for her birthday and really don't want it to be late!

Second, I was wondering if this: http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/yarn_display.aspx?itemid=5420128 yarn would work well for the pattern. Also, does knitpicks yarn ship fairly fast? I've never ordered from them but their prices are awesome and would love to use the yarn.

Thanks in advance to any advise y'all could give me!
