3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / You're the other half- Diptychs with my boyfriend on: August 25, 2009 02:54:07 PM
The boy and I are headed off to our first year of college. Unfortunately we're headed to two different colleges. This summer I told him I wanted to try painting with him, he's never painted before and I thought it would be both fun and nice to make a painting with him and use two canvas' so we could each take one. The first one was difficult and didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but he loved it and told me he wanted to do another before the summer was over... a month later- we did another and i love it.

What are your thoughts?
1- in the process

us - almost complete
-all done

2- - with our work

-completed but the glare is there a little
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Summer means dresses (huge pictures i'm sorry) on: July 26, 2009 02:05:35 PM
That was the original plan when i started, but like i said i had to alter it so many times i haven't quite mastered the gathering technique yet.. my next round on this i may just do a circle cut out for the bottom
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Kitsch Recycled Retail Tag Bracelets on: July 26, 2009 02:03:20 PM
Ha i worked in retail not long ago and we have different tabs that when ever i had to break them off i'd save them because i know i should be able to use them for something no use in wasting plastic... but they're sitting in a little container in my desk still

this is really cool and very original i would wear one for sure Smiley
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Fabulous summer dress and purse made from a Kimono on: July 26, 2009 01:59:54 PM

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Summer means dresses (huge pictures i'm sorry) on: July 26, 2009 01:01:48 PM
I just got my first macbook so i still have no idea how to compress pictures.. i apologize for them being so big

ahh a little uneven... I'm still trying

Close front

close back

I struggled a little bit on this one with the back... kept changing it and eventually made it too small to really get on and off comfortably so i fixed that but the skirt part of the dress remains a little messed up... i'll fix it eventually maybe tighten it up a little better. The top is way smaller than planned but its still wearable and i can always put a tank top underneath... overall this is my favorite completed project so far Smiley
