1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / *Tutorial Link* Quick Sew Funky Christmas Stockings on: December 14, 2007 06:24:31 AM
My husband and I for the first time are in a house this Christmas. We have hardly any Christmas decorations and have not had the time or energy to go shopping for them this year. So on my day off today, I whipped up some stockings. Want to make some last minute decorations for your place? Good, because I got a tutorial for you.
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Snow Sprite on: October 30, 2007 06:54:04 AM

I live in Georgia and I often joke with people that I have never seen a real snow. Only a few times in my life have I seen snow that does not melt away with a single footprint. Because of this snow has always seemed a magical thing to me. So when I saw snow come up as a topic in the Holiday Softie Awards I was immediately draw to it.  If I cant have real snow here I thought it would be fun to make a little sprite that brings snow.
More on my blog.
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Make a cat toy- Save your headphones- Free pattern link on: September 14, 2007 04:03:22 AM
A week or so ago my lovely kitten Rogetts reminded me that every once in a while kitties need a new toy. Or they might riffle through your purse, steal you headphones out and pull the insulation off while leaving a big mess in at least 3 rooms of your house. Oh well I reward the little brat with a new set of toys made that day before she could find anything else to destroy.

If you want to make your kitty a set you can find the pattern on my blog.

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / cute blue thing on: September 06, 2007 07:01:59 AM
New guy made for Plush You. I could not decide if I wanted to make him out of fabric or yarn so I did both. More info on my blog.

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Do your ears hang low? on: July 16, 2007 07:29:25 AM
Say hey to Marci. Make the new kid feel welcome, she is already at a disadvantage because all the creatures around her seem to be made from yarn.

I am very please with my first sewn toy. It took several trys to develop the pattern for this potato headed puppy as my husband puts it. She stands only 6 inches high but her ears are a whopping 18 inches long.

6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / I was sleepy so I made a sleepy cat [Amigurumi] on: April 17, 2007 10:22:24 AM
It might have crossed the line from sleepy to irritated. Anyway she is a little guy, only 2 inches or so tall. And I made her in less then a day, mostly because she is so small. Thinking of making a supper perky little kitty to go with her.

7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / He needs a name. For now I call him Green Guy. [Amigurumi] on: April 11, 2007 09:32:08 AM
So I started drawing out this little guy that I had in my head. I had this cute image of a big overbite and huge white teeth forming a grin. I wanted to make the toy child safe so the eyes toes and fingernails are safety eyes. Also this is my first time stuffing with shredded foam. For right now I am calling him Green Guy until I come up with something better or the child he is for gives him a better name.

8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Lil Ugly an amigurumi owl on: March 26, 2007 10:45:44 AM
Finished this little guy this morning. A coworker told me he looks like he has not slept all night, all day and the next night. Poor thing.

He is made from cotton yarn held with some fun fur. I cut the fun fur to give him the points on his head.
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / pacman and his ghost softies - Now with link to free pattern! on: March 21, 2007 01:43:59 PM
I made these guys a while back but did not post them because I planed to take a better picture. But they now live in my friends house (it was a birthday gift for him) and I do not know if I will get a chance for better photos. After my friend got them as a gift he immediately commissioned a pair of bride and groom goombas that I completely forgot to photograph.

Thank you so much Funkyflower and 2twins for getting back to me so fast on the changes that needed to be made on my rough pattern. Now everyone can enjoy the pattern for free.

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Kitsune on: March 09, 2007 07:20:53 AM
Finished this guy just in time for the softie awards.

Kitsune are fox sprits that are common in many Japanese folktales. Often these foxes have magical abilities and tend to be tricksters. Kitume grow tails as they age. This little guy is only a few hundred years old so he only has three tails but when he turns 1,000 he will have nine.

Hand crocheted with acrylic yarn. Contains movable joints on head and legs so you can pose him any way you want.
