Marisa,

Is Big Lake Books the former Carlson Books?

I'd be up for it, but am busy the next several weekends.  Please post more info, I'm very interested.  Also have a few friends who aren't on Craftster that I'd like to possibly bring.

Thanks!!

Hi all!

I'm in Duluth but get to the cities quite a bit.  I'd definitely be interested in attending something, and will be in St. Paul off and on this summer.  My husband is doing some graduate work at Hamline.

Potluck sounds great!

We also come down for the State Fair.  Maybe we could organize a rendevous near the Seed Art in the Agriculture Building, or Fine Arts building?  Just an idea...

Hey again, I hadn't checked this for awhile!

I do the thrift store thing too, also just a good rummage sale once in awhile can turn up some fun stuff.

I have been to Yarn Harbor and sort of felt the same way you did.  I bought some really nice yarn and didn't do it justice as I can barely knit.  I crocheted a hood, which wasn't too bad, but not up to the standards of what I would have liked to do, you know?  I guess since I spent soooo much for it I thought it should have been great.

One more place I like for some supplies is the Stamping Post, though I'm not into "traditional" rubberstamping at all!

And, Michaels, though sometimes I have a difficult time finding things there --  sometimes it's hard to find someone to ask for assistance.

I do plenty of mail-order and eBay buying.  Lately though I don't have much time to do any sort of crafting...working full time!  c'est la vie.

Hi, I'm in Duluth too!  I love the Garfield Goodwill and don't get to it often enough.

Just wanted to say hello.
