I love it without the sleeves! I'm not much of a poofy sleeve girl myself and sleeveless looks (and feels) great for summer. It fits you very well, too!

I've been thinking of trying homemade laundry soap too. I was worried it wouldn't clean as well as store-bought but now I may just have to try it! Thanks for posting how you did it.

And is your grandma crazy? You want to make your own soap and do your own laundry and she won't let you? She has a problem with you saving her money and doing work for her, seriously?

I think it's cute as is but if you're worried about the waistband, maybe if you have any of the darker fabric left you could make a some kind of belt that you could wear in the middle part of the waistband to break it up some (I was thinking of one that ties maybe). I'm having a hard time picturing what that would look like in my head but you could always try it with a belt you already own and see if you like the look better or not. Great job, it looks very well made!

He did a great job! It looks very well made and the fabrics he chose look really good together. I have 2 ferrets and this is such a nice idea. My ferrets love to be snuggled down in a hammock or sleep sack, they would probably love having a cute bag like this to be carried in!

Thanks for sharing the tute! I was planning to clean out closets in a couple of weeks when the school year is done. I think I'll save the old t-shirts instead of donating them. I'm picturing wider yarn strips to make a cute knit rag rug for my laundry room!

I found this t-shirt at the thrift store for $2. I got it for the awesome fabric and was thinking of making a skirt from it for my dd. That is if I can get DH to give it back. He swiped it as soon as he saw it.  What style of skirt would you make from it? I was thinking ruffled or a circle skirt, if I can stretch enough material from it. She definitely wants something a little unusual though.  Keep in mind my dd is 12 so nothing too skimpy (has to meet school dress code). Thanks in advance for your ideas!

Aaaaahhh! I want one! Please tell me you're going to be making a tute or putting a pattern on Etsy or something. I have that knitting fabric in white in my stash waiting to be made into something wonderful. I was planning a knitting bag but I have enought to make something else, too. This would be a perfect accessory!
