I took closeups of each partition. Here we go!

Wow. Wow. I am amazed and SO touched at the package I received from SlyFox. You can tell that she put so much love into this package and set the bar SUPER high! Ok, tons of pics, so here we go.

First Pic, my Matryoshka stocking. I am obsessed with Matryoshkas and she nailed it. The matryoshka on the front had another felt matryoshka in it and then a card on the inside! Also, I got a cute tin of buttons, some dried flower petals, ribbons, a box of sequins and handmade magnets.

OK! As is that first picture wasn't amazing enough here is a whimsy book that she had stitched, embroidered and embellished. The whimsies are meant to be clipped off when needed. Behind every picture is MORE whimsy goodness that she sent me!

Here is the inside cover and first page. The clip on bird is amazing and there's pockets filled with whimsies!

On to the next set of pages, gorgeous glass beads and more pockets.

The inside back cover and the last page. The tree is all buttons and there are tiny little gold charms on the branches that say "Handmade with Love".

The back cover. Turtles!

Once again, a HUGE thank you to SlyFox. I am seriously so touched by all the work that went into this. Thank you times a million!

(If you'd like to see more details of the whimsies, I took huge pics. Here's a link to my Flickr page if you'd like to see things more up close. http://www.flickr.com/photos/vinnieandjulie)

15  Quilted Needle Book in Quilting: Completed Projects by Mamaphunk on: February 02, 2010 10:47:02 AM
First, I couldn't figure out where this project belonged. Since the cover is quilted, I chose here!

Here is my new needle book to house all the needles I'd ever need.

The cover which is pieced from vintage bed sheets and decorated with kanzashi.

The inside pages are a wool/acrylic blend felt and the closure is a basic purse snap.

I hope you like it!

16  Super Tiny Matryoshka's in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Mamaphunk on: January 28, 2010 05:50:47 PM

I made a mold from molding putty off of a real matryoshka doll and then filled the mold with plaster to form these. Each one is handpainted with a super tiny rhinestone at her collar.

They're all different and measure just under an inch and a half!

I think I'm going to dremel a little hole in the top of a few to hang from necklaces and keychains.

What do you think? What else can I do with these?

18  Beaded Bouquet of Flowers in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Mamaphunk on: January 03, 2010 07:01:35 PM

It was WAY too cold to go outside this weekend, so I sat down with some seed beads and my new copy of Martha Stewart's Encyclopedia of Crafts and learned how to make different beaded flowers.

I love this bouquet because it's an explosion of colors! It's staying in my craft room!

Thanks so much for looking!  Grin
