1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: both sleeves at the same time in the round. is it possible?? on: December 17, 2007 12:27:48 PM
If you're picking the sleeves up straight off the body, it might be awkward at first (until you get a little length) but it certainly can be done, IMO.  Based on my experience with doing two socks at once, I would suggest that you start on seperate needles until you've done one or two rows (switching back and forth to keep them even) and then knit them onto the same circular.

Good luck!!!

I have this trouble too.  I find that it seems to resolve itself after a wash and wear or two.

Make cables that cross over the sage sections?  The green should make the cables stand out more than the burgundy.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Starsky question (again): collar on: May 17, 2007 02:02:34 PM
I picked it up and knit it together.  I think designers are assuming that people know to pick up the wrap as a general rule.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Have you felted Noro Silk Garden? on: May 16, 2007 12:02:02 PM
I've tried and tried to felt it but I wouldn't work for me.  I tried for 2 days.  Each stitch looks just as perfect as when it was knit.
6  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: FIBER FRIDAY 02/09/07 on: February 09, 2007 12:20:33 PM
Here's one that's a couple months old but I never posted it!!!

It's sproingy with nylon.  I want it to be socks.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Got the new Interweave Knits! on: February 09, 2007 09:51:09 AM
I know a lot of people like the new layout.  I personally don't.  I actually found myself getting unreasonably annoyed by it.   Cheesy  And I do mean unreasonably.  I liked IK because it was different than the other magazines in presentation.  Now it's the same.  *hrmph*
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: New Knitter! WOO! I need some help though.... on: February 09, 2007 09:40:54 AM
I agree with all of that!  This is one of those things where practice does, indeed, make perfect.  Or a reasonable facsimile thereof.  Keep it up! Grin
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What's the best thing you've ever knit for yourself? on: December 11, 2006 10:26:36 AM
My favorites are Starsky and Icarus.  Here's my Starsky slideshow and here's my Icarus post.  I'm the most proud of these two things.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Gotta love center-pull skeins... on: December 11, 2006 10:06:40 AM
I feel your pain.  I came home to discover that one of my cats had grabbed a UFO, ran around the dining room chairs, out the cat door, through a hole in the deck enclosure, around the bird bath, around a couple of trees....  Thankfully, it was only a granny square.  I threw it away.
