1  Re: What's on Your Bobbin? in Spinning: Discussion and Questions by sachis2112 on: October 20, 2006 01:56:41 AM
Erm... what's NOT on the bobbin should be the question.  I made the mistake of purchasing extra bobbins....  Not good for me, what with the short attention span and all.

Here are mine.

4  My first ever self-dyeing project in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by sachis2112 on: March 20, 2006 10:36:33 AM
The yarn gods have smiled upon me, the angels have sung.  I have been blessed with this... Lo!  Two hanks of Irish hue.

I won't bore everyone with the details here but the play-by-play is on my blog, sans all the swearing I did....

5  My favorite scarf: w/rough instructions in Crochet: Completed Projects by sachis2112 on: February 27, 2006 11:47:58 PM
This is my favorite scarf.  I made it about 5 years ago and I've used it every winter since, despite the fact that I've made and own others.  I'd made a blanket for a friend for her birthday with this pattern and yarn and had bits left over.  It was as easy as pie.  Two strands of Homespun with a Q hook.  Chain it for as long as you want it then single crochet into the back loop only all the way through.  I made one in olive for Ma around the same time and I know she loves it.  I kept the blanket I made in olive, the scrap yarn from which Ma's scarf was crochetted.

I always liked this pattern because, at the time, I couldn't knit to save my life.  This pattern looks very much like it's ribbing.

Sorry for the crappy photography.  The first is so that you can see the texture and the second is more true to the color.

6  My first projects- Sweater and scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by sachis2112 on: February 27, 2006 11:37:07 PM
These are clickable thumbnails... (Love Imageshack!)  Didn't want to bum anyone out with a long load time for just these little, 'ol things....  Thanks for looking!

This is a sweater I made for my SIL for her birthday.  That's Camus, the poodle.

This is a scarf I sort of threw together as an instant-gratification project.  I'm making a gansey on #2 needles for DH so I needed something that would work up quick for me before I lost my mind or went blind from reading my chart.
