1  Re: Newbie Specialty Swap- Gallery in The Swap Gallery by creaturesofhavoc on: April 23, 2006 07:48:13 PM
OK! As part of my OCD and general paranoid nature, I didn't brag about L2daD's package on here until she got my package. Finally, it got to her yesterday (geez, USPS)... So, here we go! First I'll post the pics of what I sent her:

A Potty Shrine (She likes toilets)

"Punk Rock" earrings made of shattered glass

Black Flag knitted wrist band

Heart Tote - This is my specialty. I am currently selling these under the name Coley Clothing, (please don't use this design, thanks!)

This was a lot of fun...especially since L2daD and I had so much in common (Thanks Chelsa for a great pairing).
So here's all the rad stuff Lauren sent me:

A great dog tag for my mutt! Look familiar...We like hearts. I tried to take a pic of it on the dog, but she was grumpy.

Altoid Tin Shrine/ Art....with a pic of the aforementioned mutt

The back (with my ugly couches in the background)

Mary Shadow Box... RAD

Stenciled Black Flag shirt (again, great pairing)
Hand dyed and spun yarn (you went over the top, Lauren! I'll let you know what I do with the yarn.)

Well, I loved everything! My dog has a rocking new tag, I have some great art, a shirt of one of my favorite bands, and some yarn to play with. As you can see, I already rolled it into a ball. Thanks again, Lauren! You were a great partner Grin I am looking forward to my next swap.

2  My Valentine's Altered Book...lots of images in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by creaturesofhavoc on: February 22, 2006 11:29:07 AM
This is my first altered book. It was a present for my Valentine/boyfriend and since he didn't pine over it as much as I would have liked, I thought I'd post it here.
The cover is decoupaged with flattened drink umbrellas.

The theme was Love in 3D. I enclosed 3D glasses

The moon is in 3D, and some pages are stitched together for emphasis

I also used pictures (sadly, not in 3D), vintage valentines, inside jokes

I left some pages blank and didn't use chronological order so I can add to it. Lastly, I cut out a niche for postcards, and used a ribbon to tie the pages together

Thanks for any input.
P.S. This is my first project I am posting...huzzah!
