2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Big black bag - big as a house! on: July 20, 2008 04:45:55 PM
I just finished this bag. It`s so big because I girl needs to carry her whole world in her tote bag, right?

Inside - two pockets for cell phone, keys, etc:

& an action shot so you can see how big it is:

I love it and I hope you do too.

Thanks for looking!  Wink
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I *heart* yellow. on: January 27, 2008 10:35:38 AM
Here's the last bag I made:

And this is what I learned from a book:

I know it's a simple stitch and everyone know how to do it, but I didn't until last week. Smiley

Thanks for looking.
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I love apples, who doesn't? Here's a tote bag for all the apple lovers. on: November 26, 2007 05:41:41 PM
I made this bag yesterday and I'm really pleased with it. I love the fabric and this handles that I made. I hope you like it too:

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Wallet-Sized Fold-Up Re-Usable Shopping Bag on: November 22, 2007 05:38:45 PM
IMPORTANT: I did not came up with the idea/design. It came from http://whipup.net/2007/09/01/wallet-sized-fold-up-re-usable-shopping-bag/

With that said, I present you my bag:

The front part is used to fold the bag into a wallet:

And it's also a little pocket:

And a crappy action shot so you can see how big it is:

I hope you like it.

I think this is a fabulous idea, it makes the bag very practical to be carried inside your purse all the time.

Thanks for looking.
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Let's see your sewing machine cover! on: November 12, 2007 12:05:15 PM
I made a sewing machine cover for myself yesterday and after reading http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=34786.0 I got curious about how everyone else covers their machines.

So, here's mine:

Please show me yours!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Dish towels - easy as 1-2-3 (now with tutorial) on: October 07, 2007 08:34:30 PM
So I made some dish towels for my mom and my sister-in-law:

They are regular cotton towels decorated with scraps of fabric I had from other projects.

You see, the use of a dishwasher is not so popular in Brazil, people mostly hand wash their dishes and dry them. So we use these a lot. And I've seen similar towels being sold 3 for R$10 and my mom brought this cloth that I could make 2 towels for R$2,50.

The project is no big deal, but I figured some would like the idea. (and maybe make it better? People here usually do this and I love!)

8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Pins and needles everywhere? Not anymore! on: September 04, 2007 06:46:25 AM
I saw this: http://superziper.blogspot.com/2007/03/diy-braadeira-de-alfinetes-para-mquina.html

I thought it was a great idea and made one for my sewing machine:

Its just a strap of fabric with velcro on both ends. You attach it to your sewing machine so you can pin your pins while you are sewing. Very handy! Smiley

Its such a simple idea, yet so good. And it decorates the sewing machine too.

In the picture you can also see the first pincushion I made myself. It turned you ok, but I can do better. I used this tutorial: http://whipup.net/2006/03/01/stickin-it-to-the-pincushion/

Thanks for looking.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pink "assimetrical" wrap shirt on: April 22, 2007 04:00:23 PM
Today I made a shirt. I actually finished it, I started it a long long time ago. I didn't use a pattern and didn't even measured it properly. I did it by the eye and with that said I think it turned out pretty good.

Thanks for looking.
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Knitting bag on: November 20, 2006 04:24:32 AM
So, after a long time away from my sewing machine I finally completed a project. Its a bag for a friend so she can carry around whatever shes knitting at the moment. It matches the needle case I posted here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=89166.msg841310#msg841310

It was kind of hard to make it and also add the zipper because I dont sew very well and Im still learning, but Im happy with it and I think my friend will be happy too.

Thanks for looking.
Have a nice week.
