With that said, I present you my bag:


The front part is used to fold the bag into a wallet:

I think this is a fabulous idea, it makes the bag very practical to be carried inside your purse all the time.

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Dish towels - easy as 1-2-3 (now with tutorial) on: October 07, 2007 08:34:30 PM
So I made some dish towels for my mom and my sister-in-law:







They are regular cotton towels decorated with scraps of fabric I had from other projects.

You see, the use of a dishwasher is not so popular in Brazil, people mostly hand wash their dishes and dry them. So we use these a lot. And I've seen similar towels being sold 3 for R$10 and my mom brought this cloth that I could make 2 towels for R$2,50.

The project is no big deal, but I figured some would like the idea. (and maybe make it better? People here usually do this and I love!)

I thought it was a great idea and made one for my sewing machine:


Its just a strap of fabric with velcro on both ends. You attach it to your sewing machine so you can pin your pins while you are sewing. Very handy! Smiley

Its such a simple idea, yet so good. And it decorates the sewing machine too.

In the picture you can also see the first pincushion I made myself. It turned you ok, but I can do better. I used this tutorial: http://whipup.net/2006/03/01/stickin-it-to-the-pincushion/

Today I made a shirt. I actually finished it, I started it a long long time ago. I didn't use a pattern and didn't even measured it properly. I did it by the eye and with that said I think it turned out pretty good.

So, after a long time away from my sewing machine I finally completed a project. Its a bag for a friend so she can carry around whatever shes knitting at the moment. It matches the needle case I posted here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=89166.msg841310#msg841310








It was kind of hard to make it and also add the zipper because I dont sew very well and Im still learning, but Im happy with it and I think my friend will be happy too.
