32  Black tote bag [my first bag ever] in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ronise on: January 29, 2006 05:23:22 PM
I made a very simple tote bag with the help of some craftster's tutorials. Keep in mind that I'm learning to sew and so far I only made one skirt and a pair of pants with the help of my teacher and that's my very first project completed all by myself. I'm so proud!  Grin

And here's me wearing the bag so you can see the size of it:

Thanks to all those who share tutorials and pictures, it's really helpful!

34  Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by ronise on: January 13, 2006 12:05:25 PM
I want to get these:

They are Adinkra Symbols "SANKOFA", symbol of importance of learning from the past.
I already have tattoos in pairs in my shoulders and next to my hipbones. Im not really sure where Ill place this one, Im thinking on the side, on my ribcage, or on my lovehandles (how do you call this part of the body anyway? This was the best way I could explain where I wanted it.), one on each side.

I also really really want to tattoo the quote I have in my icon "Love steals us from loneliness". Im thinking what to do yet. I want it combined with a big drawing in my back, maybe Kurt Halsey or Exploding Dog. I dont know. I saw this girls tattoo that was a heart outline with some lyrics on it, and I love it and thought about doing something similar, but I dont know if I want that. Ill think about this tattoo.

[edit] Sorry about my bad English!

35  My first sewing project in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ronise on: January 11, 2006 04:49:44 AM
Hello, this is my first post in this forum. Ive been reading and enjoying everything in here.

Im taking sewing classes. I knew nothing when I first started, but now Ive already made a skirt and a pair of pants and they came out quite all right and Im loving to sew. I cant wait to learn more and make different clothes.

Anyways, I wanted to share my first project with you. Its a very simple skirt, but I love it only because I made it.
