Hello fellow curvaceous crafters!

I am newly pregnant, and because I am plus size (and on a budget) I know that finding decent maternity clothes is going to be difficult..

I went to the local Goodwill Stores, and lemme tell ya, they had some pretty slim pickins - literally. The clothes I've seen at online retailers has been out of my price range (plus I have issues with spending that kinda money on clothes I'm not gonna be wearing forever

Do any of you have experience making maternity clothes - either from a pattern or reconstruction? If so, any advice/tutorials/pattern reccomendations that you can give would be so very much appreciated!

i think i'm gonna make some of my own on my next day off.. my poor tree is nekkid (in the process of moving and the ornaments/decor haven't made it to me yet  )

The first Christmas stocking I've ever made.. Made it for my 3-yr-old niece and will be making a matching one for her baby sister

Drew my own pattern, finished the open edge with double fold bias tape and hand sewed on the rickrack. The fabric isnt really Christmas-y fabric, but its the right colors, which is what i was going for... (I just happened to find this in a bin at walmart - they were clearancing out fabric for $5 a bolt! )

I am rather pleased with how it turned out  --- my apologies for the shoddy picture quality, they were taken with my cell phone
