1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Tiny stitching - more stumpwork flora and fauna [pic heavy!] on: July 10, 2014 10:26:11 PM
The thistle! *heavy breathing* OMG Your thistle are gorgeous. It's a favorite flower of mine. The work you must have put into everything else -- wings, especially! -- but I love, love the ones with the thistle.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Easy Wrap Top on: June 02, 2014 08:53:24 AM
Inspired by the tutorial here: http://freshlygiven.com/blog/tutorial-grandmas-skirt-to-blouse/

I admit to completely disregarding the instructions on this one. Still, it was a really easy project. I finished this in just a couple hours. I modified the pattern to suit my taste - I'm not really one to have my belly exposed. I think I'll make it again with a longer back.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Lace Curtains are Boring on: July 23, 2013 11:47:42 PM
Oooh, good idea!  Is it a wrap or do you have it sewn all in one piece?

It's a wrap. (Although at that point I did not have fasteners sewn on, so I had stitched it together so I could wear it anyway. I had to cut the stitches to get out of it. Sssshhhh.)
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Lace Curtains are Boring on: July 11, 2013 01:13:11 PM

I dug out the old lace curtains I have been hoarding, and finally made something. No pattern. I draped across my body and just... winged it. As you can see, the fit could use some work, but as it was entirely hand-sewn in about a day, I'm pretty pleased. I wore it out the day I finished it. How could I resist?
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Beet Capelet on: August 21, 2009 04:39:16 PM
I am totally in love with this. And I hate beets. That is a testament to it's complete awesome-osity. The pollen would be a bit much for me, personally.

As my four-year-old son would say:
"Yeah! Who wouldn't want one of those?!"
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: red 60s-inspired dress - with pockets! [img. hvy.] on: August 12, 2009 01:12:10 PM
Amazing dress. Good luck with the casting! It's too late for me to vote, or I'd vote for you.

And... Is that a Hello Kitty toaster I see?
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Pasties...for a bride on: August 11, 2009 03:10:04 PM
Eyelash glue.
8  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Re: The Schweaty Feet Thread... Shoe Insoles? on: August 07, 2009 09:45:25 AM
I suppose you could buy pre-made rubber insoles and attach your absorbent material over that. On another note, a friend told me she sprays men's antiperspirant on her feet to cut down on the sweaty shoe mess. I don't know how much that will help someone with a medical condition, but it's an idea.

Wait a minute... I just did a double take on this. The silver lines are all your pin-heads? Fun!
