1  Re: Apartment Kitchen- Help me redecorate in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by hotty_blond2000 on: April 11, 2012 05:44:24 PM
Here's some ideas I've come up with so far

This is a rough layout of possible cabinet units I could make.
I'd most likely do them in 3-4 sections to make moving them easy.
It would solve storage of appliances and possibly some pots and pans.

This is a complete overhead layout of kitchen and backroom; except for cabinets above sink and fridge. With a layout of possible storage and table units.

These are layouts of other options like using plastic drawers with wood on top instead of a wooden 'bookcase' like units.

*I'm working with a space roughly 7' by 7'.

2  Apartment Kitchen- Help me redecorate in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by hotty_blond2000 on: April 11, 2012 04:00:51 PM
I did some major extreme spring cleaning by taking out all furniture etc in my kitchen (food is still there).

I plan to redecorate {rental unit so no painting etc}.
They are going to put in new floors and cupboards within the next 5 or so years.
The floors will be a dark walnut like, and the cupboards nearly the same dark wood.

What I'd like to accomplish:
*more storage- mostly for appliances
*a small place to seat 2 people
*colors would be bright pastel like, in my mind 50's nostalgic like 'The Wonder Years'

Here's photos....

So my question to all of you is how would you set it up?
I need some Ideas, layouts, links to possible furniture, etc
Any help is appreciated.

i met shatner and nimoy last year at dragoncon (which i think i've talked about in another post) and shatner lived up to his kirklike reputation.  He checked out my boobs and then made eye contact.  I was like, holy crap did shatner just check out my boobs. Awesome!

You made me almost spit out my pop when i read this! that would be an awkward, yet cool situation.

I used to watch star trek a bit when i was younger.
More so I watched Legendary journeys of Hercules, and Xena the warrior princess.

Now I watch Legend of the Seeker, Robot Chicken and Family guy.
I love the dress Kahlan wears on legend of the Seeker!

5  Re: "The time has come," the walrus said, "to talk of many things..." in Weddings and Bridal Showers by hotty_blond2000 on: January 22, 2010 01:30:09 AM
I love this wedding theme idea!!

I have a few suggestions for the top hat- there are a few options of blue top hots on Etsy. and if you ask those you who make them, might be willing to customize a hat for you (try convo-ing one of them or try alchemy).

Here's some examples i came across:

a cool leather top hat for the boy, a bit pricey

Have you thought about jewelry yet?
Would be cool if you and the bridesmaids had matching jewelry.
Maybe the necklaces be blue with white faux pearls with some type of Alice pendant.
and the bracelets match with AIW themed charms.

7  My Newest Bracelets- Jan 13th 2010 in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by hotty_blond2000 on: January 13, 2010 04:15:42 PM
First up is Glass Rose and faux Pearls Dainty Bridal Bracelet
at least i think the flowers on the beads are roses.

So dainty, yet so elegant!

Second is Turquoise Chips and faux pearls Bracelet

Because of the different shapes of the turquoise chips and the round pearls, it feels really neat to run through your fingers. Its really comfortable on the wrist too.

So what do you think?

8  New Groovy Pink Flower Earrings! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by hotty_blond2000 on: January 10, 2010 12:39:35 AM
Pink Mother of Pearl Flower Earrings Short Dangle

These earrings are made with a cute pink mother of pearl flower shaped bead frame with small green seed beads and white pearl E beads strung on a metal headpin and long fishhook ear wires.

I love how these turned out. Perfect for spring or summer.

Can you tell I don't like this snow, lol?

9  Feeling a bit Groovy! A new necklace! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by hotty_blond2000 on: December 31, 2009 08:53:03 PM

This necklace has blue glass beads, tan mother of pearl beads in 2 shapes separated by silver lined clear E beads, a wooden Peace sign pendant, ended with a toggle clasp.

Some suggested that peace signs were coming back into style so I looked for some peace sign pendants and this one that I found. I think the necklace turned out well, its more of a natural hippie style rather than psychedelic hippie.

10  Abalone and faux glass Pearl Set in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by hotty_blond2000 on: December 22, 2009 07:28:07 PM
I splurged a while back on some abalone shell beads from Jewelry Supply Company.
Was about $12 for 40 beads. I love abalone shells! Especially when they have a really blue hue.

These have more of a brown-natural hue.

But I ended up making the following set with glass faux pearls!

Necklace:

Bracelet

Earrings

The Set

Any comments welcome!
