21  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Whats your size/challenge? on: January 30, 2006 06:48:51 PM
I'm 21, 5'3", and wear anywhere from a 7 (if they stretch well) to an 11 in pants/jeans and a M/L in tops. my problem is that I have no ass whatsoever (actually I have a very cute little butt you just can't ever see it!!) a round tummy and large breasts. I can't ever find pants that fit right because they're either baggy in the ass and fit my waist or they're super-tight in the waist and sorta fit my ass. stretch jeans kinda fix this but throughout the day they like to slip down (even when I wear a belt!) and show my tummy which I definately DO NOT want to show.

my biggest problem REALLY is finding a cute bra that fits and ISN'T PADDED or water-filled. I'm a full-figured girl thankyouverymuch and I don't want to be any bigger! I usually buy a 36D but apparantly I've gotten bigger because I went bra shopping the other day and found ONE (just one) cute bra and it's a 38DD. I don't know if they're screwing around with the sizes or if that's really what I am. [sigh]

I ordered victoria's secret & frederick's of hollywood catalogs but ALL the cute full-figured bra's are padded, I'm not kidding. it's disappointing... I don't want to wear old granny bra's :/ and I'm tired of wearing the same bra that I have now... my boyfriend's going to think I never change underwear! Sad
22  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Spill Your Valentine's Ideas Here... I Won't Tell! on: January 22, 2006 04:21:06 PM
okay, first, how do you make the duct tape roses?
second, if he's going to be a pilot, check this link for "his and hers undies" http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=72947.msg685216#msg685216
VD (as i've always liked to call it) will be mine and his first anniversary. yes, he actually asked me to be his g-friend on VD. BUT he'll be away at work (28 days on, 28 days off). i'd like to mail something, but he works on a ship, so it can't be too cheesy. plus, i'd like to actually celebrate when he gets back (2 days late, but it's the thought that counts, right?)

just search up "duct tape roses" there's like 3 or 4 different threads on it and I think they all include tutorials...
I saw that girl's undies idea and I even commented on it... I might do that on a pair of undies I make for myself but I thought it was a bit redundant to make him some that say "pilot"... he knows he is one. haha. Smiley
23  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Wedding wishbowl as a guestbook? on: January 19, 2006 10:33:00 AM
I just went to a wedding where instead of a fishbowl, they had a "wish tree." They cut a bunch of long thin branches and stuck them artfully in a vase, and then supplied a stack of cute notecards with a ribbon tied on each that guests were to write advice/well wishes on and then hang in the branches. By the end, the whole "tree" was covered in little ivory note cards with purple ribbon, and it looked really pretty.

I wonder if they got that idea off of lost in translation? in the movie she passes by a japanese wedding and the guests tied strips of paper to a tree... and yeah, she did one too. that's an adorable idea Smiley
24  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / punk rock songs of love and devotion?? on: January 17, 2006 06:40:11 PM
okay, so that's probably an oxymoron but it's possible. Smiley just wondering if anyone knew any sweet punk rock songs (especially any 70's/80's punk, that's be awesome)... seen as there's already a cheesey love songs thread, I'm just hoping there's actually some sweet songs that my boyfriend wouldn't mind listening to. Smiley
25  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: THE GENERIC BOYFRIEND GIFT THREAD: A How-To! on: January 16, 2006 10:18:00 PM
well, the pillow cases I did for my boy just had one little image on each.  they were navy blue (all his sheets are navy blue) and in the bottom right corner I did about an inch large image.  one was the outline of a plane (he's an aviation major) and the other was the outline of a palm tree (he loves hawaiian type stuff).  they turned out fairly manly.

for the quotes, I'd say for with "manly" colors and a "manly" font.  if you do pink script it will obviously look a little grandma-ish.  but done right it could look fine.  also, I'd suggest doing it fairly small, not all the way across the pillow case.

OMG! my bf is an aviation major too and I plan on making him a pillow case with planes on it... AND his sheets are navy! (are we dating the same guy?!... j/k) Smiley

a dvd of Season One or Two of Scrubs,

I love scrubs! favorite tv show and when my boy and I were broken up, it kinda helped us become close again... I had been watching it ever since I found out about it (few years ago. I didn't watch it when it first came out because I thought it'd be just another medical show) and we were talking on the phone... we were play-arguing and I ended it with "so's your face!" which had been on the episode THAT week. well I felt kinda awkward because he was silent for a moment and I didn't know whether he watched the show and he probably thought I was an idiot... he started laughing and was like "omg you watch it too!" turns out he had JUST seen it for the very first time that week, so I filled him in on all the seasons before and what had happened and got him up to date.

he got me season two for my birthday Smiley
28  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Spill Your Valentine's Ideas Here... I Won't Tell! on: January 16, 2006 12:49:18 PM
It me and the boy's first Valentine's day together (Jan is 9 months total).

ME TOO. january is 9 months for us and it will be our first vday together... Smiley

I plan on making him a cd (I make him cds for EVERY occasion and sometimes for no reason at all), I'm going to make him a duct-tape rose, because that's JUST "manly" enough (he loves duct-tape hah) and very sweet... I might stencil a shirt with an aqua teen hunger force quote / pic on it... I'm going to make/paint him a card... something with a plane on it probably (he's a student-pilot)... but I haven't any other ideas yet. I usually go all out (oh you should've seen his christmas, he almost died he was so happy) and he told me last night that he wants to plan something really really special for our valentine's day awww.

this is also my first valentine's to have a boyfriend... so wow. yeah. I almost feel like a loser cause I'm 21. haha. but all the guys I dated broke up with me before V-day or we started going out AFTER valentine's (yeah they probably didn't want to spend any money haha) one of my friends exes had actually dumped her before christmas and then tried to go back out with her after valentine's... some guys are such jerks. hmph.

anyway... anyone have any ideas of what else I could do?
