Seeing RENT remixed yesterday got my brain going for loads of crafty ideas related to both RENT and RENT remixed. I was wondering if anyone thinks this would be a good idea for a swap? I seem to remember there being a RENT swap in the past, but now RENT remixed has been released too, I thought that maybe that would create some more crafty oppurtunities. So what do you think?

 I've seen this calendar mentioned a couple of times in topics so far. I got it for christmas and I love it. There's some really good patterns and techniques in there. I think this will definately help me bust my stash  . I've already made the tweed lace scarf out of a random, mystery partial ball I bought second hand and I love it. I also made a hat for a friend out of the live dangerously, don't swatch pattern.

 Who else has this calendar? What have you made/plan to make?

 Hi there! I'm not sure if this is in the right forum but....

 Yesterday, while charity shop hunting, I found this:



 I bought the three of them they had for £1.75. It's 100% wool and 2 OZ (56.7g), but that is all the label tells me. I think I'll be able to dye it as the only treatment on it that it says is mothproofed. However, I don't know the weight or the gauge or anything. I'm a fairly new knitter, so has anyone got any tricks on how to work these things out so I can figure out what to knit with it. If I do a gauge swatch, what size needles would you recommend I do it on? And does anyone have any pattern ideas? I'm sorry to ask, google was of little help...

 I don't know whether it's a band, a movie or what, but there is a thing about knitting on there. It opens a player playing a video off knittinghelp.com. By this I assume that there is a pattern for making these things somewhere. Does anyone have it? I'm fascinated and I want one lol!

 A while back I made this femisnism necklace. It's made of snowflake obsidian beads in 3 sizes with a silver femisnism charm. It's quite simplistic but I love how it looks. The clasp still need a little work on it. I threaded the end through the wrong piece, and while it stays together perfectly, it makes the back hang funny. Here are the pictures (PM me if they don't work, this is my first time posting pictures on this forum). Also I apologise for the quality of the pictures. The flash on my camera is shally we say, a little harsh. Plus I just discovered how hard it is to take a picture of your own neck!






 I wanted to make a matching bracelet too, but halfway through making it, something made me jump and the beads flew everywhere. I've only found half of them and haven't been to the shop again since. I will post it when it's done. Oh and by the way, the supplies are from a lovely little shop in Norwich called Raphael. They sell the most gourgeous (and reasonably priced, I got a neckalce and a shed load of beading supllies for under £3) jewellery, a lot of which is hand made by the owner. They also sell a lot of jewellery supplies too. I know this sounds so much like advertising (I am honestly nothing more than a very pleased customer), but it's on St Benedicts for those of you who live in Norwich.

 The only problem is, I'm a bit of a sewing newbie and i need a proper pattern. I basically want a womens pattern, that is similar to this piece, so I can modify it (make it longer at the back, add a mandarin collar, whatever is needed to make it look more like the picture, i also want to make the front a little longer). I just need it for the shapes, how to do the sleeves etc. Does anyone know any similar patterns that would be good? Also if you need any more pictures, i will upload them.

Does anyone know if there is a way to refresh old glowsticks or another use for them? I've heard about putting them in the freezer but I tried it once and it didn't work. Has anyone had any success with anything like this?

 I wear contact lenses quite a lot and they come in these little disposable cases. They're like little ear shape containers with a bubble thing for the lenses. If anyone isn't sure what I mean, I will post a picture. I feel so bad throwing so many of them away and I gave it a search here and found nothing. If anyone has any ideas, please reply!
