1  t-shirt skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by snails on: January 08, 2006 01:02:40 PM
i made this from a t-shirt that was too big, the waistband is from the t-shirt and the blue fabric is tshirt fabric i bought. it turned out a little more cheerleader-ish than i was expecting, but im still happy with it. i think i need cheerleader-style spanky-pants though, cause the skirt goes way up when i spin around
oh and i dont think the skirt is quite as short as it looks in the second picture

the back

(sorry my mirror's so splotchy and gross)

2  in the school parking lot (dress from sheets) w/ better-ish pics in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by snails on: January 05, 2006 07:12:29 PM
this is my first post- i bought these comic book sheets at goodwill for a couple dollars, and came up with this:

its basically just a simple bodice, with some straps (theyre actually safety pinned on at the moment, ive been to lazy to sew them on) and a circle skirt, even though it looks kind of pleated in the picture. it was windy or something i guess...?
sorry its not a very good picture, my computer isnt letting me connect my camera to get the other pictures i took. im terrible at computers!
if you cant tell, the sheets (now the dress i guess) has all different names of comic books and also comic book noises, like "shtonk!" its pretty awesome fabric, although i'll admit that i dont actually read comic books. but i do have a pretty sweet collection of xmen cards : )
anyways, maybe ill post better pictures once my computer starts working... thanks for looking!

-em

so i fixed my camera/computer, so heres more pics:
