1  Zapatista poster stencil in Stenciling: Completed Projects by katby on: July 09, 2006 11:39:07 AM

This is a stencil I made from a poster type thing I found on the internet. The zapatistas are a quite well known leftist guerilla group in Mexico, famous for always keeping their faces covered.
Anyway, I think this turned out looking pretty damn cool, and I can't wait to get it on a t-shirt, since this is only on a leftover scrap.

2  Wheee, my first success- checkered skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by katby on: July 02, 2006 01:48:56 PM
Well, here it is, my first finished piece that looks semi-good. The fabric i bought fairly cheaply at the market, but I didn't really know what to do with. And then I did!

I made a tie thing, since I have not yet mastered the arts of buttons or zips.

3  UN-esque beret and stripy tank in Knitting: Completed Projects by katby on: June 28, 2006 01:17:14 PM
This is a tank top i made a while back, before i knew how to follow a pattern:

And a blue beret which turned out a bit rasta-ish. I also got mocked by my so called friends when I wore it, but what do they know about style dammit!

4  Pyjama bottoms to err...pantaloons? in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by katby on: June 28, 2006 12:54:15 PM
Well, this was kind of a first attempt at doing any kind of proper sewing. I had a pair of pyjama bottoms that were an odd length, not full length, but not properly cropped, and they were a bit annoying. So, I got out my scissors, did a bit of sewing and ended up with these:

Sorry about the slightly rubbish photos.

5  Jesus and lou reed in Stenciling: Completed Projects by katby on: January 31, 2006 10:21:40 AM
Hey, I've been messing aorund with stencils for a while now, but finding this site has inspired me to actually do something proper with them.

Anywho, these are two fairly successful ones I did today (apologies for the ridiculously bad webcam pictures)

Here's Jesus the guerilla....

....the idea for which I got (stole) from this cuban poster:

And Lou reed, stencil courtesy of stencilry:

Thanks for taking a look see
