I *heart* buttons.

22  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Car Boot Sale Craftiness on: June 16, 2006 04:49:08 AM
I'm new to the whole bags/purses thing and I have to sew everything by hand (ugh), but I think I'm kind of proud of these:

I made these three purses out of a children's Christmas Carol book I picked up at a car boot sale last weekend. (My MIL thinks I'm crazy.) I'm kind of worried about how sturdy the ribbons will be, though?

And from the same boot sale: Buzz Lightyear duvet cover turned tote bag:

Front and back. It's lined with the same materials on the inside 'cause I wanted to make it reversable but in the end I couldn't figure out how to do it neatly.
23  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Sci Fi Swap Anyone? on: May 11, 2006 06:04:46 AM
Okay, so I did a quick search and couldn't find this anywhere so....

How about a Sci/Fi Swap? All the best shows and movies: Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Lexx, Battlestar Galactica, Hitchhiker's Guide, Doctor Who...and a load others that I've forgotten. I know it's a broad catagory, but how about it?

25  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pink Skunk from the D on: March 08, 2006 05:46:34 AM
Okay, I don't/can't knit. (Seriously, knitting needles have been known to drive into the sofa cushions to avoid me...) A few months ago I told my friend back in Michigan (where we're both from) that I'd LOVE a pair of legwarmers. And look what arrived yesterday!

Isn't she just awesome?? Smiley My co-workers said they look like "a pink skunk from the D." (We're not actually from Detroit but close enough. Lol.) I love these legwarmers!! Smiley

I've been loving the little tampon guys around the site only....Well, I'm not a tampon girl so I was feeling a bit left out. *sniffle* But then I thought, why not make a maxi pad?? (My husband has now adopted a "it's better if I don't ask" policy....)
