Well, I've got supplies but I haven't had a chance to do much else. I have all of next week off work so I'm looking forward to getting crafty then. Smiley
43  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Gallery for round 65 on: January 24, 2011 03:36:36 PM
Okay... I've finally got the time to share the awesome packages I got from redstar13 and jennilocker.

This is my package from redstar13:

She claimed me for a lens cap cover for my camera but there were loads of extras: Lip Smackers, Koolaid and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. (Which did NOT last long!)

The lens cap cover:

And this is the package from jennilocker:

She claimed me for a shawl pin and again there were mega extras. Can we say sugar rush? Smiley Plus, there were heat pads for my poor, achy hands.

Here's the shawl pin:

It's just like the one in my wist!

Thanks so much, both! Both packages were amazing! Smiley

I recieved my package from Mamatomany! (I've been meaning to post pictures for a few days...)

I only had time to take a quick shot:

I got a little decorated box, a felt bookmark, some funky fabric and a shawl. You can't really see the shawl in this picture - I need someone to come visit so they can take a picture for me.

Thanks, Mamatomany!
45  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 66 Sign ups open HAPPY NEW WISH YEAR!! 2011 on: January 11, 2011 04:00:31 PM
I claim timtamz89 for a scarf and a jewellery making kit.
1st claim this round, 0 sent, 0 received.

My name is Wondra and I'm a 20-something American living in Wales. I'm a Wiccan, a student, a wife and mother of 13 four-legged babies. (Dragons, geckos, chinchillas, rats, dogs and cats.) If there was such a thing as a gothic hippy, that would be me.

I like bright but not neon colours. I usually stick to reds, oranges, purples, grays and blacks. I like browns and yellows and dark greens but not for wearing.

Things I love: cows, geekery, trees, books, photography, film & tv, vampires, zombies, nature, sci-fi, horror, etc.

CRAFTED:

I've included examples of stuff I like just to give an idea - it doesn't have to be an exact replica.

a shawl pin Thanks, jennilocker!
I love all the animal and fruit shaped ones here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Twiceshearedsheep?section_id=6639476
http://www.etsy.com/listing/62559273/sterling-silver-whimsical-heart-shawl

a medium to largish wooden hair pin
something like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/56872552/cherry-hair-fork but not with bits that'll get caught on my frizzy hair

fingerless gloves - I like the type with just the fingertips missing
like this: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/thirteendiana/falling-for-you-gloves (with or without the flap)
these are good too: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fingerless-or-not

mittens attached by a string
http://www.ravelry.com/projects/kimbellina/herringbone-mittens-with-poms - really a plain pair of mittens attached by a string are all I'm looking for but I love the poms on these

earflap hat
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/flap-happy-hat - again, I'm loving the poms
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/patriotic-earflap-hat - I like the style of this one (but I'll pass on the whole red, white & blue bit)

resin bangles - I'm a chunky girl so not too small!
filled with just about anything: candy, moss, sparkles, toys, game bits, feathers... like I said, anything as long as it's fun
or a few thin, stackable rainbow bangles

Nintendo DS Lite case
i like this style: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63038469/gadget-travel-case-for-nintendo-dsi-ds - or something uber geeky

a ruffly or frilly collar
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ruffles-2
http://www.etsy.com/listing/43884840/black-leather-and-lace-ruffle-collar?ref=fp_feat_4

a funky hat/altered hat/any type of hat that's not a baseball cap
used, vintage, whatever, just not anything my 74-year-old grandma would wear
like pretty much anything from this shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/BoringSidney

all-natural chew toys (for chinchillas and rats) - the more bits it has, the happier they'll be
like this http://www.pet-bliss.ie/acatalog/Chinchilla_Toys_Wooden_Rings_for_Small_Animals_Gnawing.html - but not painted
or this http://www.pet-bliss.ie/acatalog/Chinchilla_Loofah_Toy_for_Small_Animals.html - any undyed loofah toy
they like: wood, paperback books (no staples, though), loofa, coconut shells, walnut shells, cardboard, etc. etc. If you can come up with some strange combination of these, amazing.

paperback book cover
http://www.etsy.com/listing/42413569/clearance-paperback-book-cover-classy (not necessarily the fabric, though)
http://www.etsy.com/listing/63037769/meadowsweet-flowers-biblebook-cover (defnitely not the fabric)

reuseable paper towels
like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/45578259/reusable-eco-friendly-snapping-paper

reuseable snack bags - I really like these fabrics
http://www.etsy.com/listing/23586842/go-green-set-of-3-sandwich-bags
http://www.etsy.com/listing/23566716/red-apple-dots-sandwich-sak-reusable

camera strap cover
http://www.etsy.com/listing/62758841/camera-strap-cover-reversible-owls-in
http://www.etsy.com/listing/61515445/free-shipping-dslr-camera-strap-cover

lap blanket/lap quilt - NO heat in my house!
not picky at all... just something small to cover my legs

a snap close coin purse - medium to bigish
this kind: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63854939/alien-nation-coin-purse

business card holder
something simple like this would be good: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63133449/sleepy-owls-business-cardmoney-holder
this would be good too: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62083238/business-card-keychain-cute-trees
and this is just freaking awesome: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63442128/whoo-whoo-spotted-owl-key-chain-card

a tie dye long-sleeved tee would be heaven
like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/63622441/classic-rainbow-swirl-tie-dye-t-shirt (but a men's 3xl)

pillow cases (matching set of 2) - nothing floral or girly
something like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/39198094/pillow-cases-decorator-pillow-shams-love (not too picky about fabric)
and tie dye would be awesome http://www.etsy.com/listing/51252547/tie-dye-pillow-cases-pick-a-color-set-of especially rainbow!

a fabric organizer - for all my crap at work
like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/54725162/pocket-bucket-eco-mod-squirrels

a yarn ball wristlet
like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62691233/wristlet-for-knitting-and-crochet

a hollowed out book safe - but it needs to have an interesting cover, not just an old Reader's Digest anthology
I love this one: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63178775/ships-january-7-hollow-secret-safe-book

anti-adorable cards/stationary
these cards are so me: http://www.etsy.com/listing/58995182/why-are-you-eschewing-me-original
or something business card sized that are really cute but say things like "Nice parking, douchebag."

a mini first aid kit for work
like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63269625/medium-ouch-pouch-tm-first-aid-organizer - I like the clear front, saves digging around - one filled with with first aid stuff is awesome or just a couple of empty pouches like that would be awesome too

BIG WISH:
a sock money (or any doll, really) that is both a ninja and a mechanic (a ninja mechanic) - this is strange, I know but it's for my brother and he's kind of strange

ANYTHING from my wists is a win. It's updated all the time: http://www.wists.com/wondra

SUPPLIES:
Buttons! Lots of buttons - and more buttons! Big buttons... Tiny buttons... Bright buttons... Wooden buttons...
cardstock or paper stacks - bright colours or interesting patterns or anything that sparkles
silver or pewter charms - nothing with angels or crosses or anything like that, please
wooden bangles
chalk pencils (like this http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/chalk-pencils-657171/ )
silk cord (nylon would do just as well)
some beading findings: bullion wire, memory wire (bracelet or necklace size), bead cones/ends, crimp beads & crimp covers - silver or bronze before gold

EXTRAS:

Just about any non-chocolate candy from the USA. (especially Pixie Stix and Smarties)
Lip Smackers - I am seriously obsessed and I can't get them in this country.
Cheap, second, third or fourth-hand romance novels - even if they're really horrible, they can be repurposed. (Or become chew toys for the chinchillas/rats)
A cookbook (again, it doesn't matter how many previous owners it's had) - especially a Mexican/TexMex cookbook.

Nothing like a bit of Autumn love in the Spring! Wink
47  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Pet Lovers Swap R2 (Signups 12/31-1/14 Sendouts 3/7) on: January 10, 2011 06:47:31 PM
So... We bought a lovely big bed for our dog and where is he laying? On the floor, of course. Could that be because the kittens are stretched out on it? You betcha. (Even though they have their own kitty bed.) Silly animals.
48  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Pets need stuff too Swap on: December 30, 2010 02:19:14 PM
I'm good to go anytime as well. Smiley

Chinchillas are so much fun. They're like Tribbles with teeth. Lol. I had to nag my husband mercilessly for six months before he cracked and bought me two and of course he raves about them.

My kittens have finally settled in... Which might not be a good thing because now they're in full pounce mode. I hope I have a house left by the time the swap starts. Lol.

Awww... How cute! Does he have big ears?

I got two kittens for Christmas - bringing us to a grand total of: 5 cats, 2 chinchillas, 2 rats, 2 geckos, 4 bearded dragons and a dog.
