1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / brown and pink cowl w/buttons. Need feedback before I wear it to school! on: January 16, 2008 08:46:14 AM
okay so this is probably the easiest recon ever.... it's just an old scoop neck tee from old nave that showed a lil too much.... and being in a music wing at college with 90%guys... not such a good idea lol. Anyways I'm not sure if it looks okay or wether I look like a clown.

The cowl is from the bottom half of a brown v-neck that had awful oil stains on it. The buttons I covered myself with some cute fabric from some undies  that were too big.  Please ignore the awful pics... it's hard to take a half decent one when you only have the webcam from your laptop! Oh and excuse the awful mess.... I haven't had an opportunity to clean with homework getting in the way lol

Any feedback is welcome... good/bad..."ya look like a clown" etc. I need honesty! If you wouldn't wear it in public...lemme know!

Close up ( the buttons are fuzzy, but one is chocolate brown with hot pink polkadots and the other is pink with chocoate brown cherry blossoms)

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / oil pastels on fabric? Permanency? on: April 09, 2006 01:57:06 PM
i was thinking about doing a tote with a pic done in oil pastels. The bag is 100% cotton canvas and is quite thick. If I iron the bag after colouring will the design be permanent? Or will it smudge?Any help or comment greatly appreciated!
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / A question concerning posts and Swaps on: January 30, 2006 04:19:04 PM
You know how we need to have 15 posts before we can swap?
Is this actual posts or only the ones that we start? The reason I'm asking is I have 30 posts, but none of them are my crafts. They are all concerning others posts. So can I participate in swaps?
4  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Handbag / purse / clutch challenge? on: January 30, 2006 01:46:17 PM
What about a challenge involving purses. People could create them from scratch or do a reconed one.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How Can I design and Create my own patterns? on: January 26, 2006 09:53:22 AM
I'm definetly a newbie to sewing. I've followed a couple different patterns for some shirts, and taken a biginner sewing class. But I've never been one to completely follow a pattern when i do other crafty thing ( I bead, knit, crochet, paint etc)
Sooo....... I was wondering if there is a way i can alter patterns and know how it is going to turn out, or how to create patterns for the clothing I'm imagining in my head.

Any help would be Greatly appreaciated
