I have a box of old jeans that was given to me. I am going to cut the legs into thin strips and sew them together and use it as yarn to make a rug.

I love uneven and lumpy yarn! I like how the feel of it changes as I knit  with it. If it is all the same color it gives more dimension to the fabrics you create.
