I'm busily crafting away--nearly done with my large, have a couple smaller things to make after that.  I might have to send out a couple days late...I'm trying to get everything done on time, but being sick for two weeks kinda set my crafting back.  Sad

Yay, WYOKrista, I'm so glad you like everything!  Grin  I laughed when I got your package and saw you sent magnets and cards too...I guess we were on the same wavelength! Smiley  Btw, the newspaper ads are from a 1935 Iowa newspaper.

I actually received WYOKrista's lovely package last Friday, but my camera and computer were having an argument, so I couldn't get pictures posted until now.  So without further delay, here's the pics!

Some handcrafted cards--I love them!

Adorable magnets...

The envelope was absolutely stuffed, I couldn't get it all in one picture!

I especially love all the old book pages!  Thanks again WYOKrista--I can't wait to do some crafting with the things you sent!  Grin

Thanks for the comments everyone!  Grin

Before she went to her new home, I kept Ms. Angel on my desk where I could keep an eye on her, and she assured me that she was a misunderstood, friendly Weeping Angel.   Grin

My partner received today, so I can finally share the poppet I made for the Doctor Who round 5 swap.  Grin

I saw her in my garden...at first I thought she was a statue, but then I blinked...and she moved!

I used ghillie's wonderful poppet pattern, with a few modifications.  She's made from grey Alova suede and her dress is a "stone" look fabric that was a lucky find (I was looking for a different fabric and found this tucked in the back of the fabric store).

Trying to get her hair to look like the Angels' was probably the hardest part--I went through lots of trial and error and cutting and fiddling trying to get it to look right.  But in the end, I'm proud of how it turned out.  Her wings are quilted to give texture and shape.  Fitting her dress over the wings was another interesting experience...

It was a lot of fun making her and I'm very proud of how she turned out.  I just hope she behaves herself in her new home...  Grin

Yay, padfoot, I'm glad you got your stuff!!  Thanks for the sweet comments everyone on the weeping angel and quilt--I had a lot of fun crafting them!  Grin

I was very excited to come home from work today from a box from padfoot...filled with some of the cutest crocheted dolls ever!  A 10th Doctor, an Ood and a Weeping Angel to be exact:

Next I pulled out a fantastic bookmark and TARDIS phone case:

And finally, an awesome necklace! I love it!  (my camera, however, did not love it and was having difficulties focusing...  Undecided )

Thank you so much padfoot, I love everything!  Grin

I received from Ryn!  Grin  We had agreed to send two crafted items--one based on the book we were sending and one based on our favorites.  She sent me Chew vol. 1, which looks like fun and I can't wait to read it!  A felt can of beets, from Chew, (which has me even more intrigued)--I love the details and it's a perfect pencil cup for my desk. Smiley  And a necklace of Spider Jerusalem's glasses from Transmetropolitan!!  So awesome.  And a Green Lantern ring extra, which I just might have put on my finger and started reciting the Green Lantern oath as soon as I pulled it out of the envelope...  Wink

Thanks Ryn!!

My crafting had a bit of a setback when I got sick last week--bleaaaagh, but I'm feeling better and hard at work on my large for padfoot!  Spent a few hours today crafting and watching Doctor Who...no better way to spend an afternoon.  Grin
