YAY Dappleshark! keep on truckin'!

Awww thankies! I needed that! I'm really not entirely liking this colourway at all, but then again, with all my little mistakes (like my one not-entirely-one-inch erm I-don't-think-that's-what-ribbing-is-supposed-to-look-like!

One thing that cracks me up that I've had like five different people ask me if I'm making a hat! Now, back when it was only an inch long, I could understand, but by this point, man would that be a very funny looking hat Cheesy

I don't know. Do you have a really pointy head?

Haha! Nope!

*shifty eyes*

Or maybe my hat just hides it...

Sock progress!

It's been growing much faster since I started taking it to class with me!

3  Decorating hairstick blanks in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by Dappleshark on: April 13, 2006 02:44:49 PM
I searched in the memories and all over the internet, but I've yet to find way to to accomplish what I want. I have hair stick blanks, and they have a hole drilled in the top. What I'd like to do is use a pin of some sort and put some beads on the ends. Kind of like these:

Unfortunately, the predrilled hole is not very deep (about one centimeter) and I live in a dorm and so have no access to any power tools, drillers or the like. I know this can be done because I see all these beautiful sticks for sale, but I'd feel rather funny asking the sellers how they do it since that would be rather tacky.

4  Crochet + math = coral reef in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by Dappleshark on: April 12, 2006 09:22:17 PM
I normally lurk in the knitting boards, but this was just too cool not to share!

http://theiff.org/exhibits/reef.html

It's a project to make a coral reef based on hyperbolic crochet and they welcome submissions. Not much in the gallery yet, but I thought it was pretty nifty!

I'll come along for the ride on this! Let's see..which one to do...that huge waterfall latchhook, the first sock, the alien scarf, the stellated star thingy, the patchwork skirt, the blanket, the dream catchers...

Wait...second half of sock class is tomorrow! Sock.

It's about an inch long now, and I need to knit another 5 inches. I am also quite possibley the world's slowest knitter and the itty bitty needles combined with itty-bitty yarn is rather discouraging!
