I got my box of goodies from pseudo_pix!  Unfortunately, the candy didn't make it into the pictures Wink

I got some cute wooden mouse letters that spell out "Bunny", a box of tea, and a bunch of yummy candy Smiley
There's also a beautiful silky pouch that I could not find for the pictures (it's possible that my mom snatched it up when I showed it to her....)

But I absolutely love the drawing she did for me!  I couldn't get a picture without a flash in it, but it's adorable.

This will be displayed in my craft area as soon as I get a frame for it Cheesy  I love it!

Here's what I sent to pseudo_pix.

She said she'd like something with the name pseudonym on it as she used to do street art under that name.  I made a stencil of the way she signed her name and painted it onto a tshirt.

Here's a closeup of the name.

I tried my hand at a sewn wallhanging.  It didn't come out quite as I'd hoped, but I do like the colors.

It's supposed to be a stylized version of a picture she'd drawn but with color added.

Here's a slightly blurry picture of the embroidery around the flowers.

Since the fabric picture didn't come out like I'd wanted and since pseudo_pix was a really patient partner, I've got an extra in the works for her now that life has settled down a bit.

Thanks pseudo and donniesgirl!

I received from pseudo_pix!

For reference, this is the original Laundry Bunny, the little bag that I use to hold quarters for the washing machine that was sitting on my desk when I signed up for Craftster.

And this is the pimped version:

I love it!  Cheesy  It's a laundrybunny hamper!  They go great together.

Here's the little tail:

And the mug shot:

I also got three pairs of adorable underwear.  Here's two of them:

The other stripey pair are on my butt, which won't be featured.

Thanks pseudo!  I love it! Smiley

I received from Pinkguin!

She crafted Arabic for me.
I got an explanation of Arabic (no picture) that tells about its phonetic alphabet.

This is a rather poor picture--One day I'll get a new camera.  But I got a paper bead bracelet, a bunch of cards with my name in Arabic script, and four drink glass charms.  I just couldn't get a nice picture of these, but they're so cute.  I like learning the word for "cheers" and toasts in different languages, but Arabic doesn't really have the equivalent.  Pinkguin painted the tiny beads with the word for to drink, I believe-- "minum".

And my favorite, a shirt with my name in Arabic.

"Nicky" is painted then embroidered around with a small machine embroidered butterfly.  I love it!

It fits perfectly, which is great because it's kind of hard to find flattering tees.
Action shot!

Thanks Pinkguin!  I love everything!
This was such a fun swap.  Thanks for organizing KittenWrangler.

15  Coffee Table Kennel in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by LaundryBunny on: June 02, 2009 10:30:40 AM
I live in a small apartment with a small dog.  I'd seen those space-saving kennel/table combos in magazines but they were always really expensive.  As a big Christmas surprise, my dad actually made me one himself.

Now Craftster isn't really his thing, but the table turned out so awesome that I (finally) had to show it off for him.

The windows are on both side and on the door.  They're actually finished on the inside as well.

The top is really pretty big, which is awesome because I do everything here.  And I just noticed all the dog toys and recently killed dog toy stuffing laying around.  Cleaning might be on the agenda for today  Wink

And the little windowed door.  It's hinged on the inside.

Here's a bad shot of the inside.  Those would be teeth and scratchmarks.  It's pretty rare that she scratches it, but maintenance guys coming in don't make her happy.  I was worried about splinters, but she hasn't had any.  And she actually really likes the kennel.  She gets pretty mad if the door is closed and she can't get in.  She wasn't sure of it at first, but once she realised it was hers she was all about it.

And the action shot.  Here's the Beast enjoying her kennel.  Even with the grumpy please-don't-take-my-picture face, she's so freaking cute.

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!

16  Seaweed Mermaid in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by LaundryBunny on: May 26, 2009 11:38:25 AM
Okay, I've been working on this doll for months on and off.  I made several attempts at her tain fin, ripped them out, and let her sit finless for many months.  This morning I made myself put something on her, and even though I'm not 100% happy with her tail, I'm glad she's finished.

Forgive the not awesome pictures, please.

Here's a closer shot of her head and hair.  I've had the eyelash yarn for years, and it really looks like seaweed.  It's the whole reason she got made.

I was really happy with the way her seashell top turned out.  And her pearl necklace.

Here's her little flounder skirt thing, and you can kind of see her bellybutton.

And one more full picture.  You can see the hair a little better.

She's done in the style of Elisabeth Doherty, the Gourmet Amigurumi genius.  I started with the patterns in her book, then modified all over the place.
It was my first attempt at using pvc beads.  They're in her tail.  Next time I'll try using less poly stuffing with them.  I guess it's one of those things you have to get a feel for.

Hope you guys like her and I'd love to know what you think!

Okay, I finally got my camera to work with my computer Grin

At last, here's what I got!

Here's the front of a large tote bag with the Gryffindor lion.

And the back.

This is a big felt needle book with a crochet and felt snitch.  Large enough to hold lots of needles Smiley

Potter Puff stitch markers!  I so need more stitch markers, and these are adorable!

Plus a bat crochet stitch marker.  I wish you could see his face better in the picture; he's so cute!

Two awesome wine glasses.  These things are huge.  One says "accio wine" and the other says "Potions Dept."  Both have little potion bottles at the bottom.  My mom is a big fan, and these will likely get lots of use.  I squealed when I pulled them out.  I love them!

This is a smaller Hufflepuff bag.  I mentioned that I don't think Hufflepuff gets enough credit, especially with their "come one, come all" ethos.  So cute and the perfect size for all of my notions.

And from my wists...A Monster Book of Monsters!  I've wanted one of these for so long.  It's an address book.  She crocheted the whole cover--impressive.  Eyelash yarn is a beast all by itself!

And what might be my favorite...

A pensieve pincushion!!!  So creative.  I played around with a couple different ways to make a pensieve for her, but they didn't come out right.  I really wish the material would have shown up better.  It's so pretty.  Two layers, silver on the bottom and a gorgeous shiny, sheer blue on the top.  This and the needle book will get a lot of use, as I'm trying to improve my sewing skills.

Thank you so much zatanna!  I love everything!

Yay!  First pictures!
Okay, I have to first say that these pictures truly do not do these items justice, and that sucks, because everything is beautiful.

First, here's an action shot:

(She wasn't a fan of this picture Wink)  The shawl is gorgeous, and so soft.  It's a lacy garter stitch triangle, very elegant.  She and my dad took a trip to Branson this weekend (oh, the high life! Wink) and the shawl went too, so pictures had to wait.  She really likes it.

Also in the action shot is the bookmark.  It's hard to see because it's busy marking the book.

Here it is with a tiny knit pumpkin, which immediately became her new pincushion.

I tried to get another shot of the bookmark, but you can't see it that well.  It's a beautiful lace pattern on what had to be some of the smallest needles ever.  My mom is constantly reading, so it's already getting a lot of use.

And the slippers!

I love these!  The buttons are hearts.  And littlebluegirl, they fit her perfectly.  Even though it's extremely hot here right now, their house is pretty cold, so they're also going to immediate use.
And in case you're wondering, they work better than socks for kitchen-floor sliding.  Oh yes.  Oh yes I did.

There was also a cute little jar full (I mean FULL) of little buttons, dog stickers, and various project knick-knacks.  A picture wasn't possible, because some of the contents have already found their way into some projects!

She also hand-made the nicest card.  It's so sweet--thank you!  (She's needs to be reminded how awesome I am every once in a while Wink)

My mom loves everything.  Thank you littlebluegirl!

19  Re: Old School Nickelodeon Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by LaundryBunny on: July 27, 2008 09:32:31 PM
At last, here are the pics!

First, an adorable Hey Arnold! necklace.  I loved this show!  Remember the episode that Randy Travis sang in?
I started cracking up when I pulled it out.  It's so cute Cheesy

Of course, my Salute Your Shorts t-shirt:

Seriously, don't even ask about my hair.  It's still in a bun and it's extremly muggy here. Angry
So not considering my hair, I love this shirt.  I've wanted one for so long.  I used to have a crush on Budnick Roll Eyes

Here's my Doug pillow:

She said this didn't turn out right!  I can't believe that.  He's awesome, and so soft.  My favorite is his hair--the yarn sticks out perfectly!  Even my mom knew who it was, and she didn't watch Nickelodeon!  Jenicat, you're too hard on yourself Wink

And my absolute favorite:

Oblina!!!  Seriously, how jealous are you?  She's pretty big.  I'd guess about a yard?  And Jenicat wasn't kidding about her pixel-by-pixel measurements.  She looks store bought.  I freaking adore her.
Here's a much better shot of her face.  Check out her mouth!

I LOVE everything!  This gallery just needs a Krum doll to go along with Ickis and Oblina!  Maybe in your make-up package Jenicat... Wink

20  Vampire in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by LaundryBunny on: June 16, 2008 08:17:41 PM
I realize that I've posted very few of my projects....I want to change that!

I made this doll for my friend for Christmas.  She loves vampires.  The doll is hard-core based on Beth Dougherty's designs--the basic pattern is all hers!  It was the Strawbeary bear from her book, with obvious modifications.

Sorry for the bad pics....  They were done months ago in a bit of a rush.

She actually has underwear on, just like in the pattern.

And a close up of her face:

I love her fangs!  I don't know why, but they always got me.
