2  Erika Knight's Silky Wrap Sweater in Knitting: Completed Projects by kristinmm on: November 14, 2007 09:46:17 AM
I made this for a friend's baby.  The pattern is from the book Knitting for Two.  I love how it turned out.

Yarn is Knit Picks Gloss in Woodland Sage, needles were US 1 and US 2.  I made the 22" chest size.

3  knitty's womb in Knitting: Completed Projects by kristinmm on: November 14, 2007 09:43:33 AM
A friend of mine asked me to make this for her mom, who was having a hysterectomy.  I'm happy to say her mom loved it!  The rest of the family is horrified though, lol.

A fun little project to knit.  Yarn was TLC Essentials in Fusion, US 8 needles.

It also inspired my friend to ask me to teach her to knit, solely because she wants to make one for herself.

4  a few quick FOs - Panta, Fetching, Ruby in Knitting: Completed Projects by kristinmm on: March 04, 2007 09:27:14 PM
I've recently made two Pantas (one for me and one for my sister), a pair of Fetching for my other sister, and some Ruby socks for my friend's baby.  All were very quick projects, which is all I really have time for right now.  More pics and details on my blog: http://kribit.com

9  crochet g-string in Crochet: Completed Projects by kristinmm on: December 14, 2006 08:11:47 PM
I made this as a gag gift for a $5 pollyanna a bunch of my friends are doing.  What do you think?  Someone suggested crotchless panties that hopefully one of the boys would end up with, but I thought I'd try this first.  Smiley

Here is the pattern:

Ch 21.
Row 1: Sc across, ch 1.
Row 2: Sc across, ch 2.
Row 3: Dc 1, *ch 1, skip one stitch, dc in next stitch* until 2 stitches left. Dc 2, ch 1.
Row 4: Sc across, ch 2.
Row 5: Dc2tog, dc 1, *ch 1, skip one stitch, dc in next stitch* until 3 stitches left. Dc2tog, dc to end, ch 1.
Repeat rows 4 & 5 three times more.
Row 12: Sc across, ch 1.
Row 13: Sc2tog, sc across until 3 stitches left, sc2tog, sc 1, ch 1.
Repeat row 13 three times more.
Row 17 - 29: Sc across, ch 1.
Row 30: Sc 1, Sc2tog, sc 1, ch 1.
Row 31: Sc 1, Sc2tog, ch 1.
Row 32: Sc2tog, ch 20, cut yarn, tie end of chain down 6 stitches into itself to create a loop.
With new yarn, ch 70, sc 20 across top of main piece, ch 70. Weave in ends.

To wear, pull yarn ends through loop in back and tie in bow. This way, it fits many sizes.
