3  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Completed WW1 Project on: July 27, 2014 05:54:38 AM
This is really incredible! It's awesome to see glass used this way. What is the WWI project for? The centennial in general or are you exhibiting these pieces somewhere? This is really beautiful.
4  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Part of a Project commemorating the start of WW1 on: July 27, 2014 05:52:41 AM
Very beautiful and poignant. It's a lovely tribute to the centennial of WWI!

fancybutch, this is lovely. Makes me wonder what an entirely felted art journal would look like! It would be lots of work, but it would be nice and fuzzy. Grin

Great luna moth stitching too!

Ooh, that is awesome! I wanted to join that swap but didn't get to. I love that you used one of those Michael's frames -- I have a bunch of those and was trying to think of what to do with them. Grin
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Mumford & Sons Lyrics Via Wood Burning on: July 25, 2014 04:43:18 PM

I made this for Mr. 'Boo for our anniversary this year in May. (We get that they are overplayed -- we just can't deny our love for them! Ha.) Anyway, I picked up the wooden piece at Michaels and then had at it with my wood burning tool. I designed it myself, and made up the fonts and all that.

It's currently hanging above our fireplace, which I guess feels appropriate for a wood burning piece. Cheesy Here's a dark shot of it.

Thanks for looking!

You are so clever! I really love this concept. I have a million beads that I know I'm never really going to do anything intelligent with, but they're so pretty and I love to look at them. This is a great answer! Grin
