31  Re: Ongoing ATC Swap -- January 2014 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: January 21, 2014 04:14:59 AM
Oh my goodness -- so many gorgeous cards! That bee on in particular catches my eye right now. I'm on a bee kick. Cheesy

I received this GORGEOUS card from TerraBella01 -- she went with my Valentines/hearts theme. I love it so much!

And this is a quick peek at the envelopes that she sent it in -- I loved them too, so I took a pic. Cheesy

Thank you so much!
(Also, I hope that these pics are appearing correctly -- I have had a horrendous time trying to get them to show up in the correct direction.)

I also received from Blasphemy -- these are so awesome! Grin Thanks very much! She went with my celestiala and cat themes. Grin (I just realized that one of the toes came off of the paw -- I will glue that back on!)

(I am hoping that this pic is appearing in the correct direction. I tried it on one thing and the pic was sideways... now it's right side up again. Sigh. Anyway, my apologies if it looks wonky!)

33  Re: Paper and Ephemera Swap Round 10 Gallery - Send-out Nov. 18 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by SonjaBoo on: November 29, 2013 06:26:06 PM
I have been horribly slow in getting these pictures up -- I had a fantastic swap with MissingWillow! It has been a crazy, crazy week, so without further ado, here's the loot!

First off, some great Christmas papers and vintage recipes/ads -- love them so much!

Next up, Bingo cards, awesome postcards, game cards, veggie images!

More bits, bobs and goodies -- I love sorting through this! Grin

A overhead shot of the whole lot:

MissingWillow, thank you so much for such an amazing swap! This was a blast.  Cheesy

grasshopper asked me to post pics of the piece that I sent to her -- so here are my best photos.  (If these look wonky to anyone, could you let me know? I took them with my iPad but saved them on a PC... sometimes I have issues.)

It's a tribute to crafting, in technicolor, evidently. Grin The background paper is one of my favorite scrapbook papers I have been hoarding that I stenciled on with some gesso, and the rest are bits and bobs that that I have been saving for something special. I altered the little shrine at the top that is in the bird nest with some music paper that I painted. The key next to it was jazzed up with some alcohol inks, glossy accents and some bling. The two purple buttons and the green/purple button were accented with alcohol inks and bling. The crown next to it has buttons sewn all over it, and was going to be a pin but I changed my mind. Grin  A bit to the left is a rabbit that I stamped onto paper clay, and below that is a milinary themed tag that I made with a sewing pattern and some ephemera. To the right of that is a Tim Holtz clear square thingy that I also used alcohol inks and music paper on. The little girl at the bottom is a cake decoration, as are the swirly bits on the corners of the box. The rest are goodies that I have had in my stash.

It was super fun to make! I hope you like it grasshopper! Grin Thank you for being such an awesome swap buddy.  Grin

That is so cool! A very thoughtful piece of art.

I received from grasshopper last week, and have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off lately -- so photos are horribly late! But check out what she sent -- I love this piece so much. Grin

Using some awesome floor samplings from the HD, grasshopper also incorporated some of my favorite things -- including a PEZ! ha! How awesome is that? And the E is my initial, I love butterflies, ephemera, the crafty bits -- it's just too fun!

And a more upright view:

Thank you so much grasshopper! This piece will have a place of honor in my craft room!

36  Re: One Tiny Holiday Ornament Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: October 22, 2013 06:01:37 AM
I received from beth8144 at the end of last week, and am very delinquent in getting my photos up. We decided to go with more than one ornament, as we both had too many ideas to narrow things down. She sent me the cutest package -- I love it all! Grin

Here's a pic of all the loot! She sent an adorable Christmas tree that is just covered with buttons (on both sides!), one of those circle ornaments that look incredibly complicated to make that is also beaded (gorgeous), and a counted cross stitch owl santa that I believe is on my Pinterest page! Also, she sent along the cutest Christmas tree triangle pouch -- so awesome!

And a close up of Mr. Santa Hootie:

Thank you so much beth8144 for a wonderful swap! I hope you enjoy your ornaments as much as I do!

37  Re: Chunky Houses Halloween Edition Rnd 4 - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: October 15, 2013 04:27:05 AM
Hope your aunt is doing well goatgoddess -- this has been a crazy month on the health front, that's for sure!

Things have finally settled a bit here and I have photos of all the rest of the amazing houses I received. Again, I'm sorry it has taken so long to get these here!

First from irid3sc3nt -- a fantastically textured house that I can't stop touching every time I see it! (Even has nonpareils on it!)

And the back:

Next up, a darling kitty house from teag! I attempted to get a shot of the light going through the moon bead, but am not sure if it translated -- it's really cool though!

And the back:

And finally, from our organizer goatgoddess herself -- a super chunky house with room for a tea light!

And in the dark -- how awesome is this?

Thank you ladies so much for such a great swap!  Grin

38  Trick or treat! Two-headed cat in Halloween Decor and Parties by SonjaBoo on: October 05, 2013 10:59:02 AM
I made this little guy (these little guys?) for CDEeeek in the Vintage Halloween swap. In its first life, it was an old mirror that I picked up at a yard sale. I removed the mirror and spray painted the frame. Then I painted the backing and made the little cats out of  paper clay. I painted them with craft paint, and then glued on the letters.

(I'm holding them while my hubby took a pic):

On the counter for their photo shoot:

Thanks for looking! Grin

39  Halloween owl in Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: October 05, 2013 10:29:50 AM
I made this owl recently for CDEeeek in the Vintage Halloween swap. It's one of two wooden owls that I snagged at a yard sale, and this is the first to have his makeover. I did a base coat of gesso, followed by craft paints and then a spray sealant.

And a close up:

I'm going to start the other one this week for my husband and will post a pic if my idea is successful! Grin
Thanks for looking!

I also received from coconutbells -- such a fun house! I love it to pieces! Grin (Sorry for the sugar jar in the background -- I was jerry-rigging a photo shoot area.)

Thank you so much! This is a great start to the swap! Grin
