181  Stained Glass Hawaiian Wave in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: August 29, 2006 06:49:31 AM
I made this stained glass while dreaming of Hawaii!  The pattern is not original-- but it was the first piece that I created on my own (without help from a class or instructor.)

I loved the colors of the glass and just had to use them together in something!  And the plant growing up the side is a passionflower.  (Currently taking over our kitchen... they like to climb!)

I made this stained glass a couple of years ago, but haven't posted many of my projects so I thought I'd give it a go!  The pattern is not original, but some of the detail is modified.

It's my favorite piece that I've ever made... gee, I wonder why!   Wink

Finally catching up with my pictures!  Whoo!

First the amazingly perfect hip pouch that I received from ChloeisCrazy-- it is so gorgeous!  I love the fabric, it's the perfect size to carry my little necessities while walking, and it's adorable!!! What more could a girl want? Cheesy

And a closeup of the adorable tree button:

Thank you so much Chloe!!

I also received from esmerelda, who was sending me a panta.  Not only did I receive a panta, but I also found a little tag-a-long in the package-- her version of a fat kitty!  I LOVE it!!! I seriously squealed as soon as I saw it!

Posing with my fat kitty:

Thank you so much esmerelda!!  What a wonderful surprise!!  Cheesy

I received the most amazing bag from avsceriline-- words cannot express how much I love it!  She made me a bag and pouch to take with me on my trip to Hawaii in October-- I seriously could not have asked for anything more perfect!

My pics are dark, but you will get the drift nonetheless!

And a closeup of the fabric:

Thank you so so so much avsceriline!  You have absolutely made my week!!!  Grin Grin Grin (you get a three smiley salute!)

LaughingLark, your jewelry is beautiful!  I love the partridge especially!

Finally, I have a picture of the awesome fabric headband and cuff that susanab sent me!  The headband is green on one side and limes on the outside (love fruit motifs so much!) and she embellished with gold... eyelets?  I am not totally familliar with sewing accessories, but they are beautiful!  Cheesy  The cuff is fabulous-- again, utilizing techniques that I am incredibly envious of!

Thank you so much susanab-- I love them so much!  And I think you are fibbing when you said this was your first swap-- your sewing looks professional!   Grin

That is such a tough act to follow-- but I told ebeth that I would post the pics that I had of her package!   Roll Eyes

A rather blurry photo of the felted weird fish and cat soaps:

A take-out binder:

A kanzashi corsage for ebeth to wear to the dance!

A felted purse (I had attempted to knit it first but that didn't work so I ended up crocheting it)

Stained glass necklace charms:

And finally, a blinged out ID holder (I think this was my favorite part!  I do enjoy shiny objects!)

ebeth, I'm so happy you liked everything-- I had so much fun crafting for you!!  Cheesy

I received from dogsarecool-- it's a fabulous turtle altoid tin!  I love it so much!   Unfortunately, it had a little trouble with the heat, so some of the tissue that he was nestled in kind of stuck-- but I think it just adds texture!  Cheesy  Anyway, check out how adorable he is!

And the inside!

And all the fabulous Hawaiian themed goodies that he traveled with:

I have decided to name him "Mahalo"-- which means "thank you!"  Cheesy   Mahalo dogsarecool!  This was a great swap!
