181  Re: Decorated cross swap in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: May 04, 2006 04:55:48 PM
Thank you for the hug teapotdnky-- I needed that!

This is what amaryllisroze was supposed to receive from me, rather than the pile of rubble that ended up on her doorstep:

Forgive the pics-- I took quick shots in the truck before I mailed them out!  Anyway, it really did start out in one piece amaryllisroze!  I totally intend to make you a new one, as I don't think it's fair for you not to receive what was promised!  I will be having my dad whip up a new cross base for me this weekend and will send out a new one the beginning of next week.  I'm so sorry this happened.   Cry

182  Chuck Norris Pez dispenser in Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: April 27, 2006 07:36:45 AM
I collect Pez and had an inspiration for the Chuck Norris swap recently-- I sent this to psyche!

Chuck's close-up:

The original Pez was the Rescue Heroes "nurse"-- don't tell Chuck, I don't think he'd appreciate it.   Grin

Here's the beautiful stationary I received from Queen of Fools!

There are tiki notecards, London/Paris notecards, a Paris postcard, extra note paper, and beautiful cards/writing paper/envelopes with a writing/pen theme!  I love it all-- thank you so much Queen of Fools!  Cheesy

Here are pics of what I sent to psyche!

First, the Law & Order pants:

Then the mirror (which says "The eyes of the Ranger are upon you"-- get it? You're looking in the mirror and he's watching you... ahem... I thought it was funny)

A little calculator, because Chuck Norris can in fact divide by zero:

And my personal favorite, an altered Chuck Norris Pez dispenser (used to be the "nurse" from the Rescue Heroes-- don't tell Chuck):

I'm glad you liked it psyche-- I had a lot of fun with this swap!  Grin

Sorry to interrupt-- I hope an East coast posting won't be too out of line here!  Cheesy

I received a fabulous surprise today from kittykill!

She sent a whole boat load of bee themed goodies-- I have a whole swarm now!  hehe  I love everything, in particular the bee soap that is in the background!  And check out the little bee bobblehead guy with the cigar in his mouth-- hilarious!  Unfortunately, the beautiful frame was manhandled by the p.o. and broke-- but I think I can fix it!  (Superglue is my friend!)

Thank you again kittykill!  I love it all! Cheesy

I received from psyche today!

Included was a black vinyl Walker Texas Ranger tote, a fabulous Chuck Norris trinket box, and a tshirt (unfortunately too small, but cool nonetheless!)  Oh, and the shirt reads on the front, "Why does Baskin Robbins only have 31 flavors?" On the back it says, "Because Chuck Norris doesn't like fudge ripple."  Ha!  One of my favorites!

Thanks again psyche!  Your package should be arriving soon!!  Wink

187  Re: Crafty Detective Gallery!!!!! in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: April 05, 2006 07:24:02 PM
I am one lucky craftster!  Why?  Because I had kiki eks as my crafting detective!!!

Here is the outside of the package, so of course I instantly fell in love with it!

Kiki eks has been doing some very clever research, I must say!  Here is the spring bag that I have had on my wish list in order to get rid of my winter doldrums -- and it has strawberries on it!

Inside were these incredible earrings (which I can't even tell you how much I LOVE!) and a charm for my cat Sonja's collar!  It has a rose quartz stone on it for "love and protection" -- how sweet is that?

And that is not all!  Also in this fabulous package was a FELTING kit-- I have been dying to get my hands on a felting kit for some time now, and now I have one!  I am so excited!!

There was more in the package as well, but my camera's batteries died before I could get a picture.  Kiki eks made some awesome return address labels and stickers with my avatar on them (love them!), candy, and tiny cards and envelopes to use to make stationary for another swap that I am doing.  I was seriously spoiled!  Thank you so much kiki eks-- I love everything!!!   Grin

I received from amaryllisroze today and I am putting it mildly when I say I was completely blown away!!!

Here is the first thing that I saw upon opening the package-- a beautiful handmade card!

(I'm afraid my picture doesn't do it justice-- it's so pretty!)

And here... (cue the fanfare music)... is my cross!

Isn't it amazing?!?!?  In my info, I had mentioned that if my partner were looking for any inspiration, I would love to have yellow roses incorporated somehow in memory of my grandmother.  When I saw this, I teared up-- really.  It is so beautiful and means so much!  It is already hanging in a place of honor in my craft room-- right on the door!

Thank you so much Amy-- I will treasure this cross forever!

189  Re: Ongoing Wishlist 8 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: April 04, 2006 10:36:02 AM
I received yesterday from knottydottie-- a fabulous panta and a cat toy suprise!!

I don't know if you can see the detail in this picture, but the cat toy is actually cabled!

Sonja said she has never had a cabeled toy in her life and feels like a real craftster now!  She also likes my panta very much as they were in the same package together and evidently it smells a little bit like catnip.  (Hopefully she won't be jumping onto my head-- I haven't taken the panta off since I got it!!)  Anyway, she is so happy to have this new toy, she wanted to post her thank you right away:

And here is a funny shot, she is sleepy and has had a bit too much of the "sauce"  Tongue

Thank you so much knottydottie!  Sonja and I love our treats!!!  Grin

190  Re: Custom My Little Pony Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: March 31, 2006 05:43:20 PM
And I'm back-- with photos!

Here is the pony I made for ciracira-- I went with a few themes that she mentioned that she liked, the main one being an angel.  I tried to incorporate some stars in there as well, colors that she likes (blue and white), and a little anime.  (I attempted to paint anime-ish eyes and create a sort of anime-ish head piece for her.)  These pics aren't the greatest, but you get the idea!

(pardon the looming bottle of modge podge and craft stuff in the background)

A front view:

And pony bum!

I was so nervous about her arriving to ciracira safely, but evidently she made the trip with no problemo!  I'm so glad you like her ciracira!  She was super fun to make!!! Grin
