181  swirly butterfly in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: September 25, 2006 12:17:48 PM
I made this recently for a swap, but wanted to make sure I posted it on our shiny new glass board!   Grin

This was my first time using craft wire on a piece-- I really liked how it came out.

I am pretty sure that noone will have the same L as this lovely (ha!) card from goatgoddess: L is for leaping into the leaves off the lattice!

Isn't this the cutest thing ever?  I love it!  Thank you so much goatgoddess!  Grin

183  Re: Paper & Ephemera Swap 4 - Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: September 18, 2006 08:38:47 PM
I also received from altered_mommy-- this gal knows her ephemera!  I was blown away by the variety and general awesomeness of everything that she sent along-- wait until you see!

First pic, paper:

Next, some ephemera:

Gorgeous wallpaper samples!

Ephemera that she created herself, including a picture drawn by her son!  (It's wonderful-- he's so talented!!)

And my favorite, an ATC created by altered_mommy-- a tribute to Thelma and Louise!

Thank you soooooo much altered_mommy!  You totally spoiled me and I love everything!  This was a wonderful swap!

A shot of everything all together-- fabulous papers, stickers, and ephemera:

A closeup of some of my favorites!:

Thank you so much princess_me!  I love everything-- this was a fun swap!

185  Re: The Fall Ball/Invite your Partner 3 in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: September 18, 2006 08:27:07 PM
I don't blame them!  I'd show them off to everyone too!  Cheesy

Finally, I am catching up on my photos.  This is the absolutely phenomenal package that I received from BlooCanoe!  I actually teared up when I opened it because everything was so beautiful!  And I must add, what was really special about the package was all the little notes that Bloo added in with each thing-- it was all so wonderful!

Included in the package: a knit/felted bag that is my absolute dream bag-- I love it so much!  It is so soft and gorgeous!  Also included, a lavendar coif that is also incredibly soft (it's getting to be autumn around these parts and I will be wearing that quite a bit!), a knit toy for Sonja who has enjoyed it immensely, marbled stationary that I am not sending to anyone because it is too pretty and I just want to stare at it all day, and... MY VERY OWN SPINDLE!!!!

Closeup of the bag from my dreams (my mother tried to steal this and I told her she'd have to pry it out of my cold dead fingers):

A closeup of the stationary, coif, spindle and ephemera!  (Bloo saw that I love paper and ephemera and put together an awesome assortment of ephemera from her area-- it's fabulous!)

Also included (not shown) was some candy... somehow that disappeared before the photo shoot.   Roll Eyes  But she sent me Kinder Surprise eggs!!  I love those things and can't get them around here!  I believe one of the toys from one of the kinder eggs is shown in the first pic.  I love silly little toys!  (Never mind how old I am!)

Thank you so incredibly much BlooCanoe-- I only hope that you enjoy your package as much as I have enjoyed mine!

186  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 13! in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: September 11, 2006 06:47:30 PM
I received from the incredibly talented hokiekate a few days ago and apologize for getting to pictures just now.  But I LOVE everything-- she sent me two zippered pouches (adorable!), a fabric headband (wearing it still today!) and an adorable flower that just made my day and makes me smile! Cheesy

Thank you so much Kate-- it is all beautiful!

Oh yeah, I confess-- I need more attention!  lol

Anyway, here are the pics!

A gorgeous purse -- this is package #1, and I LOVE it!

And package #1 and package #2 all together-- a black panta (love pantas!!) and a reconned tank top with seashells hand stitched onto the collar-- gorgeous!!  (And it's red!! I wear red all the time!!)

Thank you so much secret FOC-- I love everything and appreciate it all so much!

188  Re: Glass board! in Suggest New Boards and New Features by SonjaBoo on: August 29, 2006 07:00:38 AM
I made this recently for a swap-- I don't think she will look in this forum, so hopefully it is safe for another day!  Cheesy

The pattern is modified-- the top bit is from a suncatcher book that I have, but I changed the bottom part of the wings a bit, added decorative craft wire, etc.

189  Needle felted turtle in Felting: Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: August 29, 2006 06:54:16 AM
I haven't posted too many of my finished projects-- the quality of talent on this board is way beyond my abilities!! But I thought I would share this little guy that I made for my husband-- he is inspired by a giant sea turtle that we saw when we went on our honeymoon to Hawaii.

Belly shot:

His hangout under our Banyan tree from Home Depot  Grin (not a great pic, but you can see his home)

Thanks for looking!  Cheesy

190  Stained Glass Hawaiian Wave in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: August 29, 2006 06:49:31 AM
I made this stained glass while dreaming of Hawaii!  The pattern is not original-- but it was the first piece that I created on my own (without help from a class or instructor.)

I loved the colors of the glass and just had to use them together in something!  And the plant growing up the side is a passionflower.  (Currently taking over our kitchen... they like to climb!)
