181  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 10 gallery! in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: June 01, 2006 03:48:01 PM
That bag is fabulous!!

I received from bluelise-- AMAZING papers and ephemera!!  She seriously nailed all the colors and motifs (particularly tropical ones!) that I love-- I am still in bouncing around from the happiness this package has brought me!!! *bounce bounce bounce*  (Hehe-- thought you'd like the visual!)

First the papers (sorry the pics are a little dark):

Next the stickers and fabulous ephemera:

And a close up of my favorite part-- the paper flowers!!

Thank you so much bluelise!!  I love everything and will put it all to good use!  Wink

182  Re: Gallery for Felt A Long #6, felting with wire in Felting: Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: May 25, 2006 04:23:07 PM
I have secretly been following along with you ladies, but didn't want to post as my project was used for another swap!  But since my partner has received, I wanted to share my first wire-felting experience.  Everyone, meet Clara:

I was going for a canary, but I think she ended up being more of a Sonjaboo bird than anything else.  Here's her response when I told her she was going to fly to Ohio:

She was such a fun project though, and I will undoubtedly try another one soon!

Look deep into my eyes... you want to felt more birds...  Grin

That is adorable!  Very clever animegirlie!  Cheesy

I received from the amazing gingerquilts today-- she sent me one of her famous needle books!
The front:

All of the outside:

The inside:

A closeup of some of her detail work and beading:

Isn't it gorgeous? I keep looking at it and can't believe it's actually mine.  Thank you so much gingerquilts-- you really made my day!  Cheesy

I actually bought a sharpie today because I desperately... ahem... needed one... (well I didn't have silver, ok?)  Roll Eyes

I received two wonderful swap packages!  The first, a lovely spring tote from americandemockracy:

The second (and third, technically-- Batgirl claimed two of my wishes)  included some incredible barrettes, (wish #1) coffee bean jewelry, (wish #2) and even a treat for my hubbub! (a surprise treat that was mentioned on my list, but not an official claim-- that sly Batgirl!   Wink )

The barrettes (look-- there's a bee one!  I love bees!!):

The FABULOUS coffee bean jewelry (Check out the bracelet-- how sweet is that?)

And the treat for my husband, who loves playing Oblivion!  (It's fabric!  Also, Batgirl sent me a coffee magnet!)

Thank you ladies so much!  I love everything!!!

Everyone's stuff is so awesome!  I am loving that stationary especially!  (I am low on stationary so am shopping around... Cheesy)

And finally, I am catching up on my picture posting!  Here the amazing treats that Sonja and I received from Nikkidear!

First, a beautiful embroidered bookmark, awesome hair pins, and a kitty puzzle for moi (also included in this shot is a little bling bling for Sonja's collar):

Sonja's loot, including a bed with her name on it (what a princess), fleece toys, one of the shiny ball toys (the others have mysteriously vanished around the house... I'm sure I'll step on one in the middle of the night and jump two feet in the air), and the carton that her toys came in:

And an action shot, confirming the idea that a catnip recovery program may be necessary:

Thank you so much Nikkidear-- for all the wonderful treats and the fabulous entertainment!  Grin

We'll definitely post in here when the next round is ready to go!

I was just sorting through pics that I took with my digi, and forgot that I had these two!  I realize this is a kind of past the moment, but thought you might find it amusing!

This is what the Muppet scrolls look like when not in the box!  I rolled it out all the way into the hallway!  hehe

Pardon all the clutter on my couch (it's not our real couch, just an extra couch in my crafting room!  So of course it's covered in crafty goodness  Wink )

187  Re: Decorated cross swap in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: May 04, 2006 04:55:48 PM
Thank you for the hug teapotdnky-- I needed that!

This is what amaryllisroze was supposed to receive from me, rather than the pile of rubble that ended up on her doorstep:

Forgive the pics-- I took quick shots in the truck before I mailed them out!  Anyway, it really did start out in one piece amaryllisroze!  I totally intend to make you a new one, as I don't think it's fair for you not to receive what was promised!  I will be having my dad whip up a new cross base for me this weekend and will send out a new one the beginning of next week.  I'm so sorry this happened.   Cry

188  Chuck Norris Pez dispenser in Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: April 27, 2006 07:36:45 AM
I collect Pez and had an inspiration for the Chuck Norris swap recently-- I sent this to psyche!

Chuck's close-up:

The original Pez was the Rescue Heroes "nurse"-- don't tell Chuck, I don't think he'd appreciate it.   Grin

Here's the beautiful stationary I received from Queen of Fools!

There are tiki notecards, London/Paris notecards, a Paris postcard, extra note paper, and beautiful cards/writing paper/envelopes with a writing/pen theme!  I love it all-- thank you so much Queen of Fools!  Cheesy

Here are pics of what I sent to psyche!

First, the Law & Order pants:

Then the mirror (which says "The eyes of the Ranger are upon you"-- get it? You're looking in the mirror and he's watching you... ahem... I thought it was funny)

A little calculator, because Chuck Norris can in fact divide by zero:

And my personal favorite, an altered Chuck Norris Pez dispenser (used to be the "nurse" from the Rescue Heroes-- don't tell Chuck):

I'm glad you liked it psyche-- I had a lot of fun with this swap!  Grin
