171  Re: How's your Etsy shop doing now? in Selling Crafts on Etsy.com by SonjaBoo on: March 10, 2007 04:11:38 PM
Congrats to everyone on good sales!!

TrashedClothing, I like the second one best -- but they are all very pretty!

This is my project this week -- Shamrock kanzashis.  They are actually doing pretty well so far -- I'm keeping my fingers crossed.    Cool

Can I get someone's opinion on this?  I posted these under the Glass category on Etsy, but am wondering if they would do better under something like Jewelry or Geekery.  Any thoughts?

These are my 5th and 6th skeins that I've made (still total newbie) -- but I wanted to share!

They are in need of a good name, so if anyone has a suggestion, I'd love to hear it!

Thank you for the inspiration Grace O!  Grin

175  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap 2 in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: November 16, 2006 03:10:32 PM
What a great idea!  I love that advent calendar!  So many awesome stockings so far!

Speaking of which... I finally have photos!!!

First, the gorgeous stocking!

Next, part one of the contents!  In this picture we have mini-PEZ notebooks (swoon), a mixed paper journal, ATCs, recipes, a Christmas cd, a mini-scrapbook kit, erasers, and Santa tissues!

And part two of the contents! This photo shows a black cat sleep mask (which I can't even express how much I love this... my husband told me I can't sleep with it on though because it will scare him when he wakes up!  hehe), a gorgeous blue and green scarf made of tiny circles, some fabric art pieces (once again featuring a black cat, my favorite theme), little birdie ornaments, Super Mario ornaments, a fabulous giant pincushion that I will never lose, and a Space Invaders bag that has cross stitching on one side and stenciling on the other!  (Oh, and there was also tons of candy included too-- which is filling the SI bag at the moment!)

Detail of the Space Invaders bag:

And finally, a rare sighting of the endangered dorkus majorus... the species is known to wear ninja turtle hats and do backflips into large piles of Christmas candy...

Thank you so much nix kisses!!!  You have spoiled me rotten and I love you for it!!!  Grin Grin Grin

I have pictures of the wonderful goodies from miss Knit_Core!

First, the fabulous cards that she made for me, as well as vellum sheets with black cats on them.  Also shown is a note card with Jack from Lost (mmm... Matthew Fox...  Roll Eyes) and her HTC!  (Which is awesome!)

Next, all the knit beauties!!!  The star scarf which I have been coveting because my knitting skills have no idea how to even begin with it, a vine necklace which again my knitting skills are amazed by, and a carrot who makes me so happy it's ridiculous!  Look at his little face!  Also included is a fabric transfer (I think an iron on?  Not sure but I might be framing it for my cubicle at work) of a sign that I have on my wists: Be Good or Be Gone.  It amuses me greatly!!  Grin

Thank you sooooooooooo much Knit_Core!!!  I am absolutely blown away by all of your talent!!  And Sonja thanks you for the treats-- she said they were yummy!   Cheesy   I hope you like your package as much as I have enjoyed mine!

177  Re: Fiber Friday! (20 Oct 2006) in Spinning: Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: October 20, 2006 01:41:32 PM
I am so excited-- I finally am able to contribute to Fiber Friday!  I received a drop spindle from the fabulous BlooCanoe in a swap, and have been spinning away since.  It's nowhere near perfect, but I am still quite pleased:

I don't know how much it weighs or how many yards I have-- I'm not sure how to tell all that yet.   (I don't have a proper scale.)  And I believe it's some sort of merino blend.  But it is a decent sized skein-- I gave it to my Mum for her birthday and she was shocked!  She couldn't believe I made yarn!  Grin  (Frankly, I couldn't either) lol

And I just wanted to thank you all for posting your amazing yarns and fibers here on Craftster-- they are always so beautiful and inspiring!

178  Re: Alphabet ATC J, K, L gallery in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: October 18, 2006 02:25:16 PM
Finally, I have pics of all of my ATCs!  I have had trouble posting pics lately, so I hope that my partners will forgive me for taking so long!

Here is my J from superstitch-- Jubilee Jumbles!  She had to explain the joke to me (related to Project Runway and one girl's obsession with yo-yos), but now that I have heard it I think it's hilarious!  And I thought the card was adorable before that anyway!  Wink

I also received my K card from minouette-- Kiss and Key!  Notice the end of the key makes a "k" -- brilliant!

And all three of my cards together, with goatgoddess' L card:

Thank you all so much!  My ATC collection is shaping up quite nicely!   Grin

I also did a personal swap with Banga for ephemera and ATCs!  She is in Germany right now, so here are the awesome German goodies that she sent:

And here are the ATCs-- I love them so much!  Look at the little lederhosen!   Grin

Thank you so much Banga!  I hope you enjoy your package as much I enjoyed mine!  Cheesy

I did a personal swap with ChloeisCrazy-- my package to her is still in transit, but I received from her yesterday.  Check out the goods!  She made me an awesome tote bag (love it!), fabric headbands (my new addiction), a tshirt for my husband, and my favorite-- a stuffed SonjaBoo!   Grin

Here is my hubby's shirt-- he wouldn't let me take an action shot, so if you have a better pic of it, feel free to post it Chloe!  He is organzing the Fantasty Football team where he works, and named it after the motto for Cobra Kai, the bad karate group in the Karate Kid movies.  (yes, he's a goof)

the back:

And a kitty bum shot -- Sonja won't let me put bows on her tail so this will have to suffice Cheesy

Thank you so much ChloeisCrazy!  I hope your package gets to you soon!
