as beautiful and inspiring as the hairpins. do you think you could post a tutorial of these too?

great work, hand sewing is a bit more time consuming but well worth it.  Cheesy

wow love the hairpins. i noticed you said they were based on traditional Japanese techniques. any good books or references you could suggest? also a tutorial would be awesome. i'm really into making flowers this month. must be spring talking. i'd love to try and make one of these.

beautiful work.

747  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re:what to do with old sewing patterns on: April 08, 2004 03:57:17 PM
if the models on the package are retro-cool you could cut them out and decoupage them somewhere...

if only the models looked cool...hehe its 80's stuff like business woman type outfits. not retro enough yet... i like the present idea. gotta make some presents. Smiley

My mom was going to throw out her sewing patterns from the 80s because they are hideous and she will never make the items again but I had to save some of them. Something about the tissue of the patterns and the pretty black lines..maybe Im just nuts who knows. Anways was wondering if you gals had any ideas of possible uses. I know decoupage but want something more fun and exciting. Maybe decoupaging something other than a box or table??

thanks  Smiley
