favorite things: quilting arts magazine, grape jelly(i forgot it in the pic, its in my fridge), needlefelting stuff (dying to try that out) and some cute queen of hearts stickers, really pretty turquoise fabric, and some cute kid stuff that i'm going to use for cuddle quilts.

here is the pic of the pumpkin lit, i didn't think my camera could do it. but i'm quite impressed with the pic.

just finished this. took about 3 hrs. last yr i did hamtaro and spongebob the year before. too bad halloween is only once a year.

i finished a little quilt top for the neo-natal unit of the ottawa hospital. our quilt guild members make the little cuddle quilts and they get donated to the hospital on our behalf for the little babies. so yeah here's the first one i did. and i plan to make one a month as my little way of giving back. and i have tons of fabric so why not use it for a good cause. there were just a buch of little bits i had. the whole thing is 2 feet square

so i finally got to make my speakers and stand for my cute little mini. its based on Silly's design. it was really fun and my dad and i decided to put the railing on it so the speakers wouldn't fall off (they're really light).


if anyone is making this and doesn't have the molding pieces just go to home depot and look for the cut it yourself area where people use the miter box to cut their own edges and there is a garbage bin for the leftover pieces. i picked them out and got them for free yay for free wood.

still needs to be painted but not sure what colour. any ideas?

so i'm feeling yucky today and had to call in sick for work.as i  hauled out the heating pad i remembered that i really wanted to make it a fun cover to make me feel less granny by getting it out in the first place. so i decided that it would take less than half a hour to make it and it might just be the perfect pick-me-up for the day. a fun cover and a quick crafty project. these were scraps that i got at a fabric store that has a 6 pieces for a dollar bin.

so i started working on this the other day and its very rewarding although a tad slow moving because of the handsewing. this will hopefully turn into a big quilt that i will then take on as my first hand quilted quilt project. it is made from the many scraps of bright fabrics that i have been hoarding from leftovers of my various projects. i hope by posting it here that i'll have to finish it although it will take a while.

the green background is just a shirt that i put it on to make a pretty picture (i'm sure you are tired of looking at my yucko floor )

i made mine much smaller as you can see cause i wanted one of the little ponchos that are everywhere. and to snazz it up a bit i tied ribbons in with the fringe. and because of my lack of taking good photos of myself and being the only one here. my lovely chair volunteered to model it. the colour is more blue in person and has sheer 1/4 inch blue ribbon and 1/8th inch blue satin. looks fun. but still afraid to wear it out of the house.

so my sweetest sweetie boy bought me a pink ipod mini yesterday and its just too exciting. i wish my computer could rip my cds really fast cause so far 1hr per cd..eeks. so i celebration of its arrival(sounds like a baby) i made it a cute little cozy. i actually bought the yarn like 2 weeks ago in hopes of getting it. i bought extra so i could make a scarf with the remainder.
its such a happy ipod in its little cozy

and yet another.. notice the button that i just happened to have that matches perfectly. yay a reason to hoard craft supplies. see i knew it would come in handy sometime

on another not the blue bottle is from bawls power drink. i covered the words with felt that i embroidered a flower on and the word "grow" on the other side. seems to be listening.
