Excellent job on the top.... However I really want to know what that weird creature is in the background... Now that is neat!!!

LOLLLLL omg hilarious. The yellow one is a stuffed herpes virus, and the green one is Swappy the Swap Monster. He is a stuffy that my friend Erika (www.myimaginaryboyf riend.com) made for this craft supply swap we held. I got custody of him when she moved to California. I love him so much.

Hello everyone! Its been a while, but Ive been so busy with soap making and clothes, and kiddies.. life has just been HECTIC!!

So two weeks ago I had a discussion with someone about this fabric I had laying around. It was pretty much Starwars Charactors heads with their names underneath it. Since Im a total geekatron, I personally LOVE starwars. So I KNEW it could be made into something hot.

My friend said "omg what are you gonna do with THAT??" in a very VERY snotty tone. My response was "Im gonna make a really cute top with it" (insert condescending laugh here).." its all in the design" I explained. please.. he snickered... I bet you couldn't make a sell able top in that fabric.

What? what? do I smell a challenge?!?!? Sheesh.. men.. always underestimating us..  So.. a 100.00 bet later... here it is. And guess what I LOVE IT! The knit is supersoft jersey knit. like kid jammie type stretchy stuff. and the blue is taken from a huge blue xxxl shirt I had laying around waiting for reconstruction.

Now this top not only features obi wan kenobi, but Anakin, Darth Vador and PRINCESS LEA! SQUEALLLLLLL!
Im SO tempted to keep it. And I just might..Im really considering it..  Star wars with lace and PUFFY SLEEVES?!?! Anyway this thing rolls, I win Tongue

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Being a Girl Rocks Top (IMG OBESE) on: January 30, 2008 10:22:32 AM
I hate winter, so in my dreams of warm weather I made this out of some really soft thin jersey knit that I inherited from a designer friend of mine who was moving and had to unload a ton of fabric. Yeay!  I had some superwide lace trim in my trim bin and thought it would be perfect to go around the shoulders. The colors are off white and light beige with beige lace. The buttons are covered in the beige knit and lace overlay..

Excuse my goofball face. I was T I R E D and CRANKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(haha I changed the title on ya.. sorry I had to)

omg you guys.. thank you all so much for all of your sweet words! I wish Could reply to everyone, but I cant.. lol.
You know what? On New Year's Eve, MY boyfriend of 3 years AND the father of my 11 month old, told me that he never wanted to be married to me & that he never thought he'd be with me for the rest of his life- (& here's the fun part) he said, he literally f'n said "I just wanted to have a baby with you".

I feel ya!! Way to go for finding a positive outlet- go you!!!  Kiss

WHAT? UGHHHH...what a total loser.. I say, Ill help you jump him, and you come to NY and help me jump my ex. Better yet, your ex will come back in his next life as a woman and give birth to damn 10 pound TRIPLETS.. what an ass. Dont even get me started on babys daddys...lol I have one of those too.. lol.

My bf pissed me off this new years, so I spent it alone. And then I sewed. Didn't have as much success as you, but it was still therapeutic.

Beautiful top, btw. Now go and have a girl's night out! Smiley

lmfaooooooo

I was also thinking you look like Kylie Minogue.

Very cute top.  Gurlfren' got skillz.

Get your bad self out there and find a new man.

New Year. New Guy.  Cheers!

you know I think Ive heard this said about the lovely Miss Jesse in a few different posts ..you do look similar  Smiley

lol.. yes like Jane said, I get that alot. And Im so OVER men right now.. but Im sure that will go away at some point. Cant be A sexual forever.

Excellent. I also like the symbolism in the picture - the bump in the road and the monster are behind you now  Wink

Im retarded and cant quote all pages on the thread in one post..lol. so this one omg it cracked me up. That is exactly how I will explain that picture to make myself sound more creative. lol.

And Cheera, yes please do kick him in the balls!
And whoever mentioned the eggs.. great Idea, and I live in NY so yes its fuhhhreezing. Only he doesnt have a car. He has a scooter. Even better.

To whoever posted about the haircut. After my last haircut drama, all of my friends made me take a pledge to not do anything to my hair for three months (dude I totally ended up with a Dorothy Hammell... ). Cuz the bleach was looking mighty tempting. Smiley

Anyway, thank you all so much! When I feel crapalicious I will read this thread..

So this holiday sucked for me. Found out bf of 3 years was cheating.. and posted about it all on some messageboard.. yeah it wasn't fun.  So for those of you who may ever have the unfortunate luck of having this happen to you, this is what you do.

1. get lit up like a Christmas tree on xmas eve
2. rearrange all of your furniture
3. sew a cute top
4. move on.

So.. here its is the "hes a cheating bastard" top.
