1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Need some help with bobbles on: January 03, 2007 07:39:54 AM
So I am trying to make knitty's Bobblicious and I am having some problems with the bobbles. I've been trying them, and I just can't seem to get the stitches loose enough to do the first step (k1 front and back) the required number of times. The final product always ends up way too tight, and sitting on the point of the needle.
Is loosening the stitch just something that takes some practice, or is there some detail that I'm missing.

Thanks =)
2  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / SnB Technicozy on: July 06, 2006 05:34:57 PM
I have a question about reworking this pattern - I wanted to use it to make a bag for a tarot deck instead of a cellphone/ipod. Only problem is I'm so bad at patterns I couldn't figure out exactly how to make it work. Anyone have any advice?

Ok, so keeping in mind this is my first attempt at knitting anything, I'd like some tips, and constructive criticism.
There are a bunch of screw ups - I dropped two stitches somewhere and somehow picked them up, I screwed up my bindoff, and there are a few weird things I can't identify.
All in all I'm happy I was actually able to do it. ^_^

I apologize for the bad picture - my camera is out of date (and it's only 2 years old).
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Epoxy/Clay/painted charms? on: January 17, 2006 04:28:36 PM
I love working with charms, but I can't seem to find anyplace that sells charms that are not pewter. Primitive Earth Beads sells some epoxy charms, but they're a bit on the expensive side for the quality they look, and they don't have a large selection.
Does anyone know of a place online that sells colored charms? (And if I can press my luck, any stores that offer wholesale plans?)
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Favors and placecards on: January 03, 2006 09:48:52 AM
I need some help brainstorming some ideas for favors and placecards / placecard holders for my wedding. We've gone the fantasy route  since we're big fairy tale buffs. We were thinking of naming the tables after fairy tales or fairy tale characters instead of numbering them, and our cake topper is a big castle that matches our wedding colors (being made out of fimo by a good friend of mine). I'm sort of stuck on what to do for favors and placecards. I entertained the idea of having a cinderella glass slipper candy dish as a favor, but I'm waffling on how much I like that.

I made several different Pagan/Wiccan oriented rosaries, but this one is by far my favorite. Unfortunately I just realized this bad picture is the only one I have since I sold it. =/ Still love it though. Thinking I'll have to make another one.
