1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / A little confusion on a pattern.... on: December 23, 2007 08:57:54 PM
So Im relatively new to knitting and reading patterns. I found this one ( The Liesel pattern at  http://yummyyarn.indus3ous.com/archives/2005_09.html#000293 )and really want to do it but Im a bit confused.

In the pattern where it say no stitch: ignore and move to next stitch what do I do? Do I just slip it to the next needle? I know this is probably a stupid question, but I honestly have no idea.

SO if you could tell me that'd be great!
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Block Print Collages on: October 01, 2007 08:44:58 PM
Here are three collages I made from three different block prints I had made over my senior year.
They are printed onto scraps of photo mat board that I found in my graphic arts classroom.
Hope you like them, sorry you have to click links!

I made them specifically for my dorm room before I graduated.
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Another Miyazaki Swap? on: October 01, 2007 08:23:17 PM
It seems like it's been a while since a Miyazaki swap was done, and I was wondering if anyone else would want to do one? I can't organize it (I've never even done a swap before) but I thought I might throw the idea out there.
So whatcha think?  Huh
4  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Meet My Neighbor Totoro!(Lots o' Pics) on: February 10, 2007 10:06:00 PM
So what does a college student do when they are putting of work and inspired by craftster? They run out for some supplies and get to work.
I wanted to paint some shoes but couldn't think of what to put on them. Then my friend suggested I put a chracter from the Japanese movies I like. So I picked Totoro!

Let me know if it doesn't work!
I still need to seal them, but Im sure I'll wear them before I do!Actually Im not sure what to use to seal them, any suggestions?
Thanks for looking, and feedback is greatly welcomed!
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / You know what's great.... on: February 20, 2006 04:53:30 PM

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / I said I'd never... on: February 09, 2006 07:19:25 PM
Well I said Id never knit with Fun Fur yarn, but I guess I should have never said never. I don't know if it actually constitutes as fun fur cause it's very short. Like maybe not even a quarter inch thick. But I dunno. My sister gave it to me so I couldn't pass it up, I mean it's FREE yarn. But it's funny cause once it's knitted up it bears a STRONG resembelance to either walls at a skating rink or the floor at a bowling alley.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Two colors, too crazy.... on: February 06, 2006 01:07:42 PM
I have no clue how to knit with two or more colors and I need to learn like right now. Ive looked on line but it's not what Im looking for. I remember reading somewhere about a technique of like tucking the unused yarn into the knitting until needed but I can't find it. Does anyone know what Im talking about?
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Mario and such.... on: February 05, 2006 06:52:09 PM
Personally I have been inspired by such crafts as the mario quilt and others. So Ive been on a quest to find screen shots and other pictures to make patterns to knit with. Well Im really excited cause I found this site for this toy that is kinda like light bright minus the light. Well they have patterns to follow and I feel they could easily be translated over into kniting or cross stitching or even quilting. The actual sit is in Japanese(I think) but by clicking around you can find what you need.
