1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / What would you do with a gas mask? on: April 28, 2010 01:56:12 PM
I have 2 cases of gas masks I got for free today. They look like this:

I know at least 5 of them will become "Empty Child" costumes, but I have no clue what to do with the rest.
2  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 28 ENTRIES / computer chair makeover on: June 05, 2008 11:28:12 PM
I have a computer chair which has been well used by my family, and while sound, has seen better days.
(please ignore the mess, my house is in a constant state of flux)
I don't have any working photos, but I recovered the chair in a purple/blue fabric I've had for years.  It's sort of a mix between umbrella fabric and lining, kinda silky but it feels water repellent.  Anyway, I love the results.  Although, I'd like to take metallic gold and silver pens to it and add celestial patterns at some point.

I'm so happy with my "new" chair!

I've been interested in spinning for ages, but have never tried it.  I have the opportunity to but a used wheel along with other supplies, but I don't know if it's a good deal.  What do you think?

Here's the deal:

Louet S15 used spinning wheel in good condition, with two bobbins
and a lazy kate, this wheel is unfinished but works great just using
oil which will be included along with the original instructions from
 the company.

 with it comes the following:

 Two books on spinning

 Rovings:

 32 oz brown top
10 oz hand dyed bluish green wool roving

 2 oz green wool roving

2 oz variegated reds dyed wool batt

6 oz of hand dyed alpaca in - 4 oz blues and greens 2oz of this 6 oz total is purple

4 oz hand dyed alpaca roving in purples blues greens

10 oz wool roving in blue/green

4 oz Llama in Chilean Lucky Charm sort of a light brown

2 ozs shaved llama in Black Raspberry

40 oz of white wool roving

This will be a big shipment and may come in two boxes which will be mailed out on Saturday of the purchase week.

I'm asking $265 for it all and this INCLUDES SHIPPING
