I've just started going to a crop (scrapbooking club).  There is a challenge each time, and this is the layout i made for the last one.  It's based on my favourite things.

We had to include:
red and green
a hidden photo
a song lyric in the title
ourselves as the main subject
and a technique we hadn't tried before.

I was really pleased with how this one came out (the colours are very washed out in this first pic though).

i teach four-year old kids, and we've decided that they need to know about recycling - they seem to generate soooo much rubbish!

i have volunteered to make a display to draw their attention to the recycling bins, BUT i don't feel comfortable doing the usual trawl through the stationery cupboard for coloured paper etc.

So does anyone have any ideas for appealing themes, ways to make lettering, pictures (2D or 3D) that will capture their imaginations and only used recycled/sustainable material?

So, i made the tea cosy from Leah's book for my parents in law, and they love it!

Sadly, their motto is probably 'no teacozies with irony', so i modified the cute applique to one of their local church!

So my boyfriend came by these cool chairs years ago.  I love the shape, but i hate hate hated the fabric.  Brown and orange seventies check?  Retro, but not in a good way!



So i got reaaaallly brave (i'm not good with fabric) and recovered.  Hooray!

So, i'd like to have a winter wonderland themed birthday party for my fiance, but because his birthday is in December, it's always overshadowed by Christmas.  So i need some inspiration for non-Christmassy winter decorations.

Also, i'd like to have only white food, or food from cold climates.  Any suggestions?  I can think of lots of white desserts, but what about savouries?

Any help much appreciated!

My favourite shoes are getting larger and larger with wearing them so much - it's got to the stage where i can only wear them if im on the flat.

i don't know what you'd call them - they're like a flat pump, in leather.

could i add an elastic strap across the foot?  if so, how?

Her kimono prints are made to match.  My wood turning's not up to much so she's a polystyrene egg with the bottom cut off.

 ;)i lost 13 pounds since i started her - so maybe i should start shaving bits off!
