oh, i'm so glad you like it all RubyTuesday!  i had so much fun hacking up that Mills and Boon!

i received from safetyfox today and everything is just beautiful!  really, it's the swap package of your dreams  Smiley

here is everything:

the book: Mikhail Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita.  I just have to share this blurb on the back: 'One hot spring the devil arrives in Moscow accompanied by two demons, a beautiful naked witch and a huge black cat with a fondness for chess and vodka'.  i can't wait to start reading!
a fantastic Moscow map fabric bookmark - i can't tell you how much i love it and at least 2 other people want it!

i got TWO bags - i LOVE bags!!
a pink faggot stitched knitted bag, which is a reference to the book in some secret way (can't wait to find out)

and a wicked cord bag which has this beautiful lining.

everything is so well-made and neat, and sooo to my taste.  i can't get over it!! Grin

safetyfox and RubyTuesday, thanks for an awesome swap!

14  Re: Recipe Book Swap Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by Mave on: February 10, 2007 08:55:37 AM
Wow!  what cool stuff!

I received this morning from the lovely Summerlyn  Grin

It was her first swap too and she sent such cute things.

This is the group shot of the recipe book (the recipes are awesome - my husband-to-be is doing some serious pestering!), a calendar, Australia stickers - the animal signs are ACE and a tube of Vegemite.  Hooray!

Here are two of the cute collaged pages she did - i love the desserts page!

And this is another very cool page.  A pasta recipe with a printed background which might? be printed with spaghetti.  Anyway, it's great!

thank you Summerlyn!  now excuse me while i go and start cooking!

Ok, all equipment is up and running (at least for now) so here is nosal with all his great stuff from GatorWrangler.  Thankyou!

Here is all the souvenirs, sweeties from Mass. (not even going to attempt a spelling) all resting on a WICKED boston t shirt witha shrimp on it (for me! nosal got clothes of his own.)  You can also see the calendar which contains all his pictures.  I think a calendar was a great idea  Smiley

Here he is with his snout in the rock candy - i got first taste tho!

And with the his cute new outfit including knit scarf and a cool necklace of one of his pictures - i'm not sure how that was made?

thankyou!  i had a great time with this swap.

16  Sweater teapot cozy in The Craftster Guide to Nifty, Thrifty, and Kitschy Crafts by Mave on: December 03, 2006 11:05:46 AM
So, i made the tea cosy from Leah's book for my parents in law, and they love it!

Sadly, their motto is probably 'no teacozies with irony', so i modified the cute applique to one of their local church!

action shot

thanks Leah!  It was so fun to make and the instructions were super-easy to follow, even for an eternal-beginner at sewing like me...

(runs off to make all the rest of the stuff in the book)

17  Re: SCAVENGER HUNT ATC Cards. What can YOU do with these materials? in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by Mave on: December 01, 2006 11:38:14 AM
Cool cards everyone! babychel - naughty but nice!!!

OK - my first ever ATC:  'Troll'.

5 letter word
red acrylic paint - i blobbed it on top of the crossword to pick up ink for the mucky look!
kitchen foil
printer paper (used for troll and to print lines around word)
stamp pad
crossword (use to print black ink on the tin foil)
playing card
sticky tape (used to cover the card as the ink would not dry on the foil)

this was a great challenge, it gave me loads of ideas 'cause i kept thinking oh if i was allowed i could...

Thanks OriginalYouth!!!

Woo-hoo!  Brennie arrived today complete with cute bow and carry bag (she is one girly dog!).   But look:

My dog, Jack, is clearly Brennie's evil twin!

Although Brennie is obviously cleverer, and, it has to be said, cleaner...
Thanks, SParkie, we're going to have loads of fun... Cheesy

great beds everyone - and i love the tee!

here's a thankyou card for my friend who pig-sat for me.

the picture's blurry, but it reads 'we tried to use the phone, we tried to send a letter, we tried to write an email.... but we're guinea pigs!  so we got the idiots we live with to send a card.'

and yes, i anthropomorphise them like mad!
