432  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: My try at the record bowls :-D on: January 09, 2006 07:27:16 PM
I've been meaning to make one since I have a few records in my room that I got at the thrift store a while back. My only question is, when they are in the oven does it smell up your house? That might me a silly question, but since I live with my parents I don't think they'd appreciate it if the kitchen smelt really funky. Haha. :-P

438  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: project runway! do you think i can make it? on: January 05, 2006 09:22:36 PM
I absolutely loved that dress and almost everything else that Santino has made so far (too bad he's a jerk!). I'm just a beginner at sewing, and even though I've learned the basic skills, I know that there is no way that I could ever re-create that dress with the little that I know right now. You could always try.. I mean, it could end up looking really cool, but first you should practice your sewing skills. Good luck! :-)

440  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Re: Any hardcore color guard out there? on: January 04, 2006 03:09:55 PM
Wow. Reading all this makes me realize how awesome my band program really is. I got to a school of more than 3,000 people with a marching band of about 300 (w/ guard.) Our band program has thousands upon thousands of dollars to share between the band and guard. Our girls keep moving up and up in the WGI circuit. Our school's only like 6 years old.

Back to the point: I think those shirt ideas sound pretty cool even though I'm not in the guard.

You are SO incredibly lucky!! There were only about 20 or so people in the band and my freshman year there were only three of us in colorguard. Haha. I think we had around 10 people in Winterguard are first year, but it was so much fun. I would have given anything to be in a big colorguard. Ah well.
