yay! Well I'm so glad that there's a good amount of interest in this swap but I myself wouldn't be able to organise it.

So I guess what I'm looking for aswell is some lovely person who's willing to be organiser of this swap.

Anyone?  Grin

Oooh I'm ready to post, went down to the post office (which is just round the corner from me) and realised it was shut until two.  Embarrassed

So I'm just sitting here supposedly revising about schizophrenia and depression until then  Wink

Ten minutes to go!

Oh and Glenda you are going to have a hard time getting into your parcel, I may have gone a bit over board in taping the box shut  Wink Better safe than sorry!  Smiley

Newspaper and phone books it is!  Grin I'm sure I remember someone saying they used paper stars for their swaps once, I actually do have a few of them lying around so....yar.

I'm so paranoid about one of my items in particular  Roll Eyes

I wonder which you'd prefer, Glenda, my town's local newspaper or the weekend edition of The Guardian? Tongue  Wink

Oh and everything is individually wrapped in tissue paper and for a couple f the items bubble wrap.

Ahhhh! Cheesy

Someone's receeeeived!  Grin

.....yeah I've had a dull day  Wink

Ooh I can't wait to see the pictures!

Right now I'm googling for packaging tips, what, besides bubble wrap makes a good, supportive packing material? Heh, at Lush cosmetics they fill their gift boxes with popcorn because it's a safe biodegradable renewable...thingy which is pretty nifty. But somehow I can't really see myself doing that :p

I think this is a cute idea!  I'm one of those "glass is half empty" kind of gals, and my husband is one of those "glass is half full and just about to be filled up again" type of guys.  He's always saying that I need to be more positive and have more positive things around me.  I could definetely benefit from a swap like this  Grin

lol! I can definately relate! Which is partly why I thought it'd be a good and helpful idea for even the most miserable of us!  Wink

It would be super fun!

Just think about it; smiley face tote bags and buttons, perhaps a decorated box filled with things that make your partner happy, or stuff to help them relax or destress, maybe a stress toy for releasing pent up emotions, some nice tea bags or relaxing bath stuff or a cute soft toy for cudding when they're feeling low (you could perhaps throw in some cheery tissues for times when they need to just let it all out). How about a little 'Be Happy' kit with suggestions or sayings to help banish the blues?

The idea would just be to put together an awesome package that'll brighten your partner's day and get them smiling.  Grin *big cheesy grin*

I'm sure you guys could come up with allsorts of even better ideas but the general aim would be to craft and send items that would encourage cheeriness, destressing, relaxation or comfort. Ooh, maybe we could do it so that you had to include an item from each of those four catergories? something cheery like a smiley tote bag, destressing like a stress toy, relaxing like home made bath treats and comforting like a cuddly toy?

Or is that getting too fiddly?

Anyways, the point is, a happy themed swap would be awesome for everyone involved.

But of course I'm still doing my very first swap (being somewhat a swap newbie, so we'd need to find a willing organiser of course  Tongue)

Have a lovely day! Let me know what yo uthink, would you take part in this swap?
(you know you want to!)

Awww I love how this is just turning into a thread about dogs  Grin you guys have such cuties! I can't imagine life without my two pups, even if they can be a bit noisy  Wink

And carnabystreet, that teaser's making me even more excited and they're not even my items!   Wink

I'm alot happier with the fifth item now it's almost finished, I wasn't impressed to begin with but I do quite like it now Smiley
