21  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Dreadlocks on: June 22, 2006 07:11:12 PM
I posted pics earlier on in this thread... It's almost hard to believe all of the knowledge I've accumulated over the months. It's also hard to believe the progress they've made.

Here are my dreads at 9 months - if I'm not mistaken:

Here are the newest pics. Almost 11 month old.

Here is a little closeup... you can really see how they are starting to get all smooth and matted:

You can see the difference between 9 months and 11... just goes to show that dreads are ever changing and they get more and more beautiful with age. It takes a little patience, understanding, and acceptance, but it's well worth it in the end.

you have beautiful dreads!! :] I'm jealous.

Haha, I just fully read your post, and that might be a better idea for a school book, not one that you'd want to show. Still I think its cute.

Use an old paper gift bag and fit it around your book so you can carry it with the handles.
It turns out marvelous. Grin

29  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Simple Disco Ball (Made with Cds) on: April 24, 2006 03:54:12 PM
Eh.. I have finished softball season. And with out softball practice after school my evenings have become really lame. So I figured...hmm.. A disco ball to hang from my rear view mirror. . . . Yeah... I'm that bored.

Anyways Here's what I used:
-Cds
-Some Hedge Trimmer Scissors
-Hot Glue
-Ribbon/String of Some Sort
-Styrofoam Ball

Result=

It actually turned out pretty neat for a 20 minute project!
30  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: keyboard buttons?!? on: April 20, 2006 08:04:54 PM
Actually, Jewelry can be made.
A famous technique of mine is heating up an old ice pick on the stove fire....
that baby melts through anything!

You should try it.
