1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: everyone gets kitchen sets for christmas <3 potholders and dish towels! oh my! on: December 21, 2011 07:06:51 PM
these are all very cute, and I wish I knew someone who would be giving me some of those.  Since they are for the kitchen, why not wrap them in food boxes - cereal, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, oatmeal - that way you would be recycling at the same time.

I really love this.  I just love making something from nothing, and this takes first prize.  I am seriously going to start saving rolls and try to make one of these.

This is absolutely fantastic.  I cannot believe the detail!  Oh, how I wish I could do that.  At my age, I'm not sure I could live long enough; but just maybe I'll give it a try sometime.

I tried making this craft - in fact I tried twice.  They turned out cute as could be; however, the paint would come off every time I bumped it against anything.  I tried using paint formulated just for plastic, and I tried regular old spray paint.  Did you have this problem with yours?  If not, exactly what kind of paint did you use?  I really love this project, and would like to do it with some children, but do not want to until I can get the paint to stick.  Thanks.

Fabulous!  Wish I had thought of this idea!
7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Places to recycle Christmas Cards?? on: December 30, 2005 08:20:33 PM
Grasshopper:  If it is true that St. Jude's no longer accepts card fronts, my group may be looking for a place to send ours.  If you could email me your address, we might be sending you a lot of card fronts.  I personally contributed about 550 this year.
