1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / I need an experienced opinion on how long/how much money this will take me...? on: July 07, 2011 12:00:14 PM
I want to make a medium/large quilt with the Guild Wars 2 logo on it:

The background would be probably plain black and I want to quilt the logo with various orange and red fabric squares.

I definitely know how to sew, but have never made a quilt. It would be great to have it ready for my boyfriend before he gets home from China at the end of the month, but I know that may not be realistic.

Any professional opinions on this matter?...and to me, anyone who knows more about quilting than me is a pro :p

2  COOKING / Dessert / "Crav3m Appl3 Pi3" colorful apple pie :D on: September 15, 2008 07:39:53 PM
The use of 3 as e isn't meant to me taken as 1337, just something we did. Smiley.

We entered an apple pie baking contest at the library near my house. Unfortunatly, we didn't even break top 3 but it was the most colorful. (And we thought it was delicious!!) We were also the only ones who dressed up....hahah I guess we took it too far!!
I didn't take pictures with the craftster intent in mind Sad so they one of the pie isn't very clear.

The Beginning: My friends aunt told us to put the foil on or the crust would have burned Shocked

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Raver Inspired Silver Spandex Space Shirt!!! :D on: July 26, 2008 08:05:35 PM
So I decided I wanted a cool rave shirt. Does it fit the bill? Criticism welcomed Smiley.
Spandex is really..really tight!! Its a fun silver and matches my silver glitter nail polish. I put a rainbow checkered trim and bows and rainbow buttons up the straps. There's a small cosmo-ish decal as well. Those weird blotches on my skin are drawn on stars haha Smiley.
The pictures were taken on my phone....my camera has been in my boyfriends truck for ever and every time I'm gonna grab it I decide that if I need to take any pictures I'll use my phone. But boy is it hard to take pictures of something your wearing with a crappy cell camera!!

Here it is:

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Nature Inspired Swap?? on: July 26, 2008 05:33:31 PM
So I work at a Garden Center and all day I was thinking of cool nature inspired crafts. I'm sure this has been done before, so maybe another? I couldn't organize though, I don't know how Smiley.
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Another Vegetarian/Vegan swap? on: July 24, 2008 08:22:48 PM
So I chickened out in signing up for the last one, but I have some ideas now Smiley. Would anyone be willing to participate? I couldn't imagine organizing though...I've never even been in a swap. I hope I don't get scared again but with support/pressure I'm sure I wouldn't hahaha Cheesy
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Craft your state swap? on: April 14, 2008 02:42:23 PM
I think I read about this one before, someone with the user name "panda" or "koala" but unfortunately my computer is too slow to go back and check, it would take me 2 hours. I think a state swap would be fun. I've never swapped before, and theirs some I'd like to join, so I think swapping about something I know so much about would be helpful. What do you think? Maybe even people from other countries besides USA could join in?
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My boyfriends Christmas present :D on: December 24, 2007 07:45:13 PM
I hope he likes it Cheesy
It sounds stupid, but my nickname for him is Shauny Bear...hahaha?
So I made him a stuffed bear. The blue is so fuzzy!! Its like, the softest/fuzziest fabric I've ever felt. And his shirt says "1337" because, you know, Shaun is a 1337 gamer Cheesy hahaha (1337 means like, awesome, in gamer talk. `|0u |<n0w?!)
I never made anything besides clothing/accessories, so that explains the lopsided head. And, I didn't have a pattern, I just drew it out hahaha. I hope its good Cheesy

Me and Shauny Bear

He loved it Cheesy
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How would I go about.... on: May 07, 2006 01:44:58 PM
I bought a bathing suit from H&M and me and my friends decided it was definitely worth it (even though the top is a size 4 and the bottoms are a 10) because they were the only ones left and it was only 11 dollars..So even though I knew the top would be a bit snug and the bottoms would be too big I went through with it. I was wondering if anyone knew how to resize bathing size bottoms? I was thinking maybe something like this:( Sorry for the crappy Paint drawings)

But if anyone has another idea that would be great. Grin
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / yikes!I'm lazy on: April 14, 2006 06:43:12 PM
So this is a real cheap job of a recon. The only thing I chop-jobbed is the white skirt. The black and white striped shirtydress and the black shirt are justheld together with a few stitches, because I wasn't sure if I wanted to go through with it.

Hey, you can see Manny Ramirez in the backround. Go Boston Red Sox woo!

I didn't like my face here :]

This is the top.
And my face.

So what do you think?
