1  CANADA / British Columbia / Kelowna Farmers and Crafters Market on: February 22, 2006 12:11:29 PM
Has anyone here ever worked the Kelowna's Farmers and Crafters Market that runs here from the spring till the fall?

I am interested in setting up a booth but I haven't been able to get any information from the organization itself. Can anyone give me the lowdown?

Thanks!
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Felt Name Book - Photo Heavy on: January 05, 2006 08:07:08 PM
This is a felt name book I made for my daughter Charlotte for her 1st birthday. Each letter of her name is represented by an animal of the same letter. The book is embellished with different textures, ribbons and a zipper for her to feel. It took me about 2 months to do - 1-3 hours a night. Any feedback would be most appreciated.

It is made out of plain craft felt and embroidery thread.

ps. Is felt bought at a fabric store a much better quality than the sheets at a craft store? Apart from the better (and more varied) colours, is it worth the splurge?

I will add the disclaimer that toys for children under 3 shouldn't have buttons or anything they could choke on. Even though she never has pulled at the buttons, we always look at this book together.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Repainted Mirror Frame on: January 01, 2006 10:47:05 PM
I bought a cheap white mirror that was on clearance and painted over the scratched frame with a quilted like pattern. I would like opinions since the only people who have seen it are family and they have a slightly biased opinion. Thanks!

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Dragon Sketch on: January 01, 2006 10:43:54 PM
This piece is a few years old - I am out of my dragon phase now, but I would still like some feedback. I am so very proud of this drawing. Thanks for looking!

5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Some of my paintings (lots o pics) on: January 01, 2006 10:42:10 PM
All of these paintings except for the "cracker cat" and "heartstrings" are done on hardboard ("cracker cat" and "heartstrings" are on canvas) using acryllic paint and some jiffy marker.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Very First Knitted Anything - A Scarf! (woo) on: January 01, 2006 10:22:41 PM
I must be the slowest knitter on the planet, but I did finish this scarf while the weather was still cold! I even made pom poms for the end. Oh swoon! Knitting, I love thee!

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Decorated Box on: January 01, 2006 10:12:50 PM
I decorated a plain jane box for a craft swap a few months ago using leaves, paints and a hefty dose of sharpie marker. It really matched my house - and would be perfect to put coasters in. I guess i'll have to make a new one when we get some more leaves.

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Domo Arigato Mr Roboto on: January 01, 2006 10:08:33 PM
I am in love with felt and because I just didn't have enough to do this past month (pshh) I decided to whip up this guy for my daughter. He can stand on his own and he took me foreeeeveeeerrrrr. I'd say he's just about a foot high.
