After months of looking at these strange cog-like yet flower-like white agate beads, i finally figured out what to make with them!

I like how the agate beads cascade down. The copper contrasts quite well with the white.. Hmm.. Just need an outfit to match! =)




I went a bit nuts with the pics... but I spent quite a few hours twisting the copper and figuring out how to attach the damn beads!

Would i wear it? ... hmm possibly not. But i like it anyways!

Heya peeps!

I'm a pretty newb sewer.. and i was hoping to sew something like this twisted neckline onto the hem of a skirt... So that the effect would be like a bubble skirt, only less poofy and more lengthy..
 
Here's the neckline on a top:


I looks quite simple to do, but when i tried fiddling on a piece of material, i found it quite tricky to make it twist like it does in the pic!

So, i'm asking you experienced, wonderful sewers out there for some advice and help! Hmmm.. I think i'm needing it! I'm actually quite frustrated that i can't copy such a simplistic looking design!

The marvelous Bubba*tink and I did a personal swap, initiated in January.. I wanted a groovy ipod cozy, and in return the Tinkster requested a funkalicious necklace modified from her wist. *cue excitement*
..... But we took our sweet time sending to each other- not withstanding the fact that we live on opposite sides of the globe! But we've both received - And here's the awesomeness...

Heya

Here's a necklace that i've made a while back now. It's asymmetrical, and really makes a statement- much better in real life than the pics (which are on the blurry side!) 
 
The challenge with asymmetrical necklaces is weighting it so that the necklace looks ok when you are wearing it.


Any comments/suggestions would be welcome! =)

Finally! I've received one of my parcels... It's from Cyndiq. So onto the goodies she sent:

A marvellous pendant and bracelet - those glass slide ones.. And a fabulous pouch which i'll use to store my glasses (which are always dirty! =p) She also sent extra goodies:

Woven pen-ma-jigs .. My little cousin LOVED these! =)

And a snow flake decoration which was put on the tree- it's still up in our house!

Heyhey!
After months of non-crafting due to work and study, I decided that i needed new earrings (and gifts for friends)! So I made these:

These are my first "upper class" earrings.. Meaning I spent moolah on sterling silver hooks, went searching for high quality fastings, and bought *actual* Swarovski Crystal beads.. They were for a friend who has high end taste, but who is a sweetheart, so was worth the pennies! =)


These are becoming my favourite earrings atm, just coz they're modern, fun and whimsical.. And they remind me of my favourite season- Autumn!


I have to thank craftster for inspiration for these earrings.. I've seen necklaces made from watch parts- but I don't remember who the clever craftster was who came up with the idea... Apologies (& kudos) to that GENIUS!
These are made out of an old swatchwatch (which i bought from ebay for $20! expecting it to work dammit! But the dude sent me a broken watch which wasn't repairable instead... *astard!!! ) Oh well.. the earrings are preeetty snazzy i think!

Anyway, thanks for looking- hopefully i can inspire others too!

It's been a while since i've posted anything i've made..
So here's a necklace/choker that i've done a while back.. inspired by those bright purple jackeranda (?sp) blossoms.


I'm quite pleased with how the blossoms turned out! =)
(Although it was a bit hairy during the soapy sudsy stage.... lol! ... errrr no pun intended... )
