1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Game Swap? on: August 17, 2010 06:26:10 PM
I haven't been active in so long and suddenly I am dying to do a swap <3
I know World of Warcraft has been done (and I missed it! =( I'd love to participate in another if anyone wants to start one of those again..?) but there are many other awesome games that I know we all love and play!

So..how about a game swap? Console, PC, whatever? Anything from World of Warcraft to Mario Brothers to Monopoly!

Perhaps people can make a wish list of items they want to either (or both) make/receive and depending on that, is how partners are chosen? I'm not sure. I haven't done a swap in so long that I've basically forgotten how it goes. I just know I love games and crafts! Cheesy
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help with a bathing suit.. on: March 05, 2006 08:51:48 PM
Ive wanted a certain style bathing suit for the looongest time but I cant, for the life of me, find one in any of my local stores. I see them online but the cheapest is 40-200$ and Im not going to pay that much for it.

Here's the style Im looking for:
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/tropi-ties/esonepicuswb.html - primarily this one
http://www.jitawear.com/AdjustableBikiniBackOnePieceSwimsuit.html - this is just an example

Basically, I dont like my stomach; Im really insecure about it so this would be great. I can still look good by showing off my back but not have to worry about my belly.

Does anyone know of a pattern or have an idea as to what I can do?

I thought about cutting up a plain one-peice but I dont know exactly how it would work with all the details..

thanks for reading this!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Bracelet for the Heavy Metal Swap (unknownname - its for you, dont peak!) on: February 19, 2006 09:57:11 AM
Okay before I post, once again.. Unknownname: this is for you! No Peeking!!

OKay.. so I wanted to make an attempt to make her an all beaded bracelet that says "Korn" on it. This was actually my first attempt so it has some imperfections, but I thought it came out nice. Over all it took avoiut 512 beads, 3 days, and its about 6-6.5" long.

The pictures are pretty crappy, especially the close up because of the flash. In the one further away, you cant see the words very well but theyre bright in real life. Theyre kindof a blood-red color.

Anyway, whatchya think?

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Lining for a messenger bag. on: January 12, 2006 05:43:36 PM
This is my first attempt at making a bag. After many obstacles and two days, I finally got the outside done.

I cut all the peices for the lining but Im not sure where to go from here. Do I sew it together just like the outside part and leave an opening at the bottom? If so.. where exactly do I attach the lining at, the rim of the bag?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I just wanna be sure before I sew it on. Thank you!
5  ASIA / Japan / Anyone from Japan that would so some sort of swap? on: January 05, 2006 09:04:47 PM
Im not really good at making things BUT Im absoutely fascinated with Japan and the chances of me ever getting to visit are like one in a million.

Would anyone want to trade some sort of Japanese item for an American item? Postcard? Some sort of book? Clothing? Bags or purses? Basically anything, Im just looking for some sort of neat memorabilia.

Anyway, if youre interested, then pleaase PM me Smiley thank you!!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Magazine paper weaved wallet! on: January 03, 2006 06:46:47 PM
I got the idea from this post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45643.0 who did this with a purse.
Im more of a bag person, but I definitely dont have the patience to do this to make a bigger bag.
This was my first attempt at doing this and it wouldve looked better, had I not run out of tape the first night I tried it.

Anyway.. this is my version of the wallet. It fits money perfectly, but it only has one pocket. My sister liked it so I cut out her name in Magazine clippings and put it on the back (I did it after I took the pictures). Im not one for measuring or being precise so its kinda sloppy but still! my first attempt.
