I just tried this too with some vintage napkins.  Such an easy way to redecorate!

Love the half-zip idea!  I made a little lined card-holder with it.  Thanks!

So cute!  I love his little goggles.  Mind if I post it on Crafting Japanese?  I'm collecting projects people have done from Japanese craft books.
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Japanese Stuffie Patterns? on: August 03, 2005 10:53:31 AM
I just started a site called Crafting Japanese all about Japanese craft books.  It includes links to real life and online bookstores and eBay sellers.  Also, I post the projects and pictures everybody has of their books so you can get an idea of which ones you'd like to get.  Check the "stuffed animals" category.

ISBN for the owl book is 4834762238, according to Buzzville's incredible library.

Some of you might like Crafting Japanese, my new website devoted to Japanese craft books.  I'm trying to collect all the bookstore locations, online shops, and eBay sellers, plus posts about the books.

At the end of the dcs, your protocupcake looks like this, right?

Put your hook in the 3rd chain:

Yarn over and pull it through both loops on the hook to make a completed round:

I hope this helps.  Good luck!

"slst to join" means joining the last stitch in the round to the first stitch in the round.  Since the chain 3 counts as the first dc, you slst into the third chain to make a complete round.  Does that make sense at all?  I can take a picture of what I mean if it would help.

I finally made a puppy from that Mame Wanko book.  He's about an inch and a half tall and made of velvet.
